The FL overacts so much that I can't watch more than 1 epi in a sitting. Dunno if it was the director's fault or the actress thought it would look funny.
I want to watch more j-dramas but lack of subs is an obstacle. Even I don't want discord telegram links. Wonder…
Till date I've only suffered once when it comes to chinese shows 'street dance of china' otherwise I only miss out on good j-dramas coz of this subs issue :(
this movie was good but the way they potrayed the 2nd female Lead was not good. watched this a year before, thinking…
I thought I was the only one who didn't like this aspect of the movie. I would have rated it very highly but the moment this happened it ruined any romance they were going to show. It was emotional cheating even if not physical. The FL too was encouraged by her friend to 'steal' someone else's boyfriend and she did go ahead by being close to a guy she knew had a gf. How would she feel if she had a bf and found him in bed with a 'colleague'? The way they brushed it off was not funny.
The drama started off so well, The FL used her brains and words. But then it became like the usual ones.
FL would keep waiting for the ML. the ML would make decisions for the both of them. But the FL as usual lets it go instead of putting her foot down. Even in the end when I thought the ML must have seen her as his equal, I was proven wrong. He kept his plan secret. It was the FL who guessed what was going on. Basically it was men making decisions, FL following them. And I agree with the reviewer who wrote that this drama 'ended with the message that women should not rule the world'
If you've read Sherlock, you know how Watson accepts that Sherlock didn't include him in his fake death plan. But when BBC remade the show some years back, they realized times have changed. They made Watson strong enough to punches Sher for making Watson go through all the pain and suffering. Wonder when c-drama writers will grow up.
40 episodes was not needed. This should have ended at 20.
Started watching coz of Jeff but really loving the show. It's funny how no one dares to mention KP, it's like an open secret lol I like how the other singers help him, translate for him, don't leave him out. Though I wish they would have subbed the songs as well...
Had to drop after 10 minutes. The pregnant girl is abused by her silly MIL who only wants a male heir, slapped by her husband and she just sits and cries. I know there are doormat women like her in this world but I'm not interested in watching their journey.
Maybe if some day I'm in the mood to sympathize with an educated, grown up woman who doesn't have a spine, I'll come back to it.
The FL has a nice journey from being someone who has no confidence at work and only wants to quit and become a housewife to becoming a woman who is excited for her work and feels happy at her achievements.
But she is a failure at home. Both the leads come back from work, the ML sits on his ass waiting for the FL to start cleaning and cooking for them. When the FL is rightly suggested by Keiko that the man needs to work at home as well, she defends him saying men shouldn't do housework.
Won't even talk about how stupid Aki was, the moment she was ready to be a side dish, I started skipping her scenes. In the last episode she talks so much nonsense, warning Keiko that if she doesn't watch out she'll end up being a career woman. Was that a bad thing in Japan back in the 90s?
Even in the last epi, the FL is busy working at home while the ML doesn't help at all but claims he'll help as much as possible. He even needs the FL to pour his drink for him LOL It was Keiko who had a good character development. She decides to stop chasing men and focus on her work.
No review and not even a comment, what a shame! So we have this a truly Hidden Gem!
The subs on the 1st epi were so out of sync that I couldn't focus on the epi, could u tell me why the FL wasn't happy on being promoted and kept crying?
I won't watch this drama but the synopsis is hilarious. 'A woman whose best friend steals her husband' - is the husband a toy or a child who got stolen? LOL
It was the actors who made it even more amazing. This is what thai BLs have been lacking recently. You need good actors for a drama to work. Don't depend on BL fans hoping they'll watch crap no matter what. I wish there were more episodes...
Bad writing and bad direction wastes good actors. Same old problem with this thai drama as well. Also, the FL swings between being a doormat and being strong. Seems like the writer was trying to satisfy both types of viewers lol
