I'm not a period drama person but tiktok made me binge watch this drama (to be specific, main lead's sister and his bodyguard). I gotta be honest, i got more butterflies in my stomach from watching these two than the main couple. they made me smile every time they graced the screen together. And her goofiness, she was soo awkwardly funny. I thought the main lead looked hella beautiful but their story was way too boring except the fight scenes.

I actually read an article saying that this drama may not be doing great domestically but is ranking #1 in over 130 countries, especially in Europe and North America. Plus this drama is geared towards younger audience and this demography no longer watch things when it actually airs.

Can't wait to see the next ep but I hope the next episodes get subbed.

ok so I'm watching ep 4 right now and had to come here and say that there is nothing glamorous about anyone in this drama. Everyone acts like street hooligan even at a supposed sophisticated party.

So i just watched a video on YT that mentioned the contract with her current agency is coming to an end soon and her current agency is not treating her well due to it. Is that true? it looks like she's been traveling alone for work lately without anyone accompanying her. where did her friendly looking manager go? did she leave the agency too?

what's another vs together? a tv show?

I do want to see her have more interactions with Lin Yi if he is going to be there. Them coming together or even seated together will be even better.

I think he is probably gonna show up with Esther or sit with or have more interactions with her since their drama did well. Plus I kind of don't want She Yue to go through another round of bashing from WH and EY shippers or WH or EY fans. I do want to see Lin Yi with her tho, if he is attending.

so she is done with her show now? I didn't see her in the next week's preview which seemed like the last ep.

Just saw pics of her in her horse riding clothes. It reminded me of "Goong", a Korean drama. if they ever decide to make a Chinese version of this drama, I think Shen Yue will be great choice for the main lead character and Lin Yi could play the main male character. Just my silly thinking, but she does look great in that apparel.

I dropped this drama after the first few eps and came back to see the last 2 eps bcs of tiktok videos. JEG still a trash that I knew was going to seduce her friend's husband. HBD's husband is still the same trash who literally let his wife treated badly by his mom and acted all mighty. I hope the writer doesn't turn HBD the antagonist and somehow make JEG protagonist. Everything i've seen in the first few eps about JEG was despicable. She acted like an innocent victim. Yet, she is a sly, and greedy woman who is jealous of her friend. I despised seeing her cry like she is the victim in the beginning of ep 15. I'd slap the heck out her face too.

I personally don't like Chinese custom dramas. Most of them have too many episodes that literally drags the story too long. And, it is always pretty man and pretty women just flying around in perfect everything. (one of my small pet peeve is the 2 strands of hair just hanging on both male and female characters faces 😊, specially male characters). Most custom dramas I've tried to watch had cheesy storylines that just doesn't make sense but writers somehow make things happen. You are right they seems like a treasure for Chinese viewers to watch and people who are in those do seem to get more popular.

I just wish they stop blurring her face too much. Every time is see her face, it has no texture, no light reflection, no nothing, just perfect blur.

She knows she needs to improve her acting. That why she is currently in Memories Beyond Horizon. She said herself (not in the same wording but similar) that she's been type casted for similar roles ever since she debut and wants to break that cycle. She wants to challenge her acting. Tho i think she is a very good actress specially if you watch her short movie which she does an amazing job and received so much praise. Her acting and commitment almost took the spotlight away from her co-star in One week friend too.

Ok, i just started this drama and am already confused, or should I say disappointed with Jo Eun Gang and Go Cha Won. Is she trynna have an affair with the husband (Go Cha Won) of a woman (Han Ba Da) who seems to be treating her like her friend? I haven't seen Han Ba Da being mean to her husband or toward Jo Eun Gang. Also, is Go Cha Won willing to fall for another woman knowing full well he is married? He's wife seems to treat him well and even endure sh*tty treatment from her MiL. Did I get it wrong? If that is the case, Ima bounce. I hate cheaters, and I hate watching dramas where the main characters are doing what the antagonists do—being willing to take what doesn't belong to them and betray the people who treat them well. Or did i get the whole thing wrong?

They need to remove her from every unconfirmed drama casting. I hate to see or read the toxic comments that the fans of the actors and actresses who are also listed. They be hating on this poor girl like she is actually casted and is about to take away their "beloved" actors or separate their "beloved couple".

OMG, I didn't know how toxic and negative Dylan and Esther Yu's fans are toward this poor girl! I just found out about it after watching the videos of their recent reunion on that Golden Rooster, Starry... program. The poor girl was just existing and maintaining professional and friendly interactions with him, nothing more. Yet those fans were really mean about it. Some made videos making her look like she was trying to flirt with him but getting ignored because he "likes" Esther Yu. Some even blurred or covered her face with a pig and other animal pic. Like why? This one is not even officially confirmed yet, but I can already see some comments belittling her acting ability, which clearly shows they are haters.

Sorry, just checking...are you commenting on the right drama? The FL of this drama is a writer, not an athlete. Is there another version of this drama? Because the one I binged on had no scenes of her assisting cops in catching criminals or any mention of her being an athlete. Even the synopsis here does not mention anything about her being an athlete.

Currently on ep 15. So far, I'm loving the drama. There's no dragging of any stories or events. I like how they are showing her HS story. I didn't think her mom was not her bio-mom.
