I'm on ep 2 right now. I'm planning on wasting my weekend binging on this. But while watching ep 2, I had to comment here bcs I remember reading some comments saying/complaining about the ML getting "familiar with the modern world way too fast, which made it unrealistic". Now I'm wondering if they actually watched and understood the whole thing before writing such comments. Ep 1 literally mentioned that the ML is a very smart and intelligent guy. It showed that he had figured out where he was from right away. He even studied the last 500 years of history, which got him very familiar with the modern world. So in my opinion, it seems like he had no choice but to get used to the modern world right away, though I haven't seen his change yet. I'm still just on the first half of Ep 2. Update: Now I'm on 1st half of ep 3 and someone was saying something along the lines of her being a strong girl but then becoming weak and needing a rescue. That commenter sounded like he/she didn't like how her character changed so fast. But to me, she was doing a great job protecting herself until she saw the fire. It looks like she has a strong fear of fire, which stopped her from protecting herself.
I'm going to give it a try when it finishes airing, but I'm a little hesitant because of the female character. I've seen several c-dramas with strong female characters like what's described here. They almost always turned out to be arrogant, immature, plain rude, annoying and stupid in many cases. They always get in the way of the ML, bcs they think they run the show with their "smart a**ness". So yeah, i just hope it proves that not all writers of this type of character know that strong women are not stupid, annoying a**es (excuse my language) always trying to take over the ML. What's even more stupid is that MLs somehow fall in love with someone who always seems to be ruining things for them and have to clean up after them.

I think I'm gonna agree with you on the hate and jealousy thing. This drama was rated 8.3 a day ago, and there was a report saying that it trended as the #1 drama on the iqiyi app. Now it dropped real fast to 8.0. Since its premiere, the rating has been going up and down but never went below 8.2. until the report. I personally haven't watched a single ep yet so I'm not gonna rate it until I watch it. I've just been reading the news about the drama and watching BTS and FMVs on youtube. It looks pretty good and I'm a big Shen Yue fan so I think I'm not gonna be disappointed.
The teasers and BTS videos are way too good. They are raising my expectations for this drama way too high now. I'm a little scared. Originally, I just wanted to watch it because of Shen Yue. Now I want this drama to succeed in the rating battles even though I haven't watched a single episode 😀.
If it gets confirmed that Jung So Min will not be in the next installment, I will not watch it. I was watching it for her and her alone. Sure, the male lead actors are great and fun to watch without her I cannot continue watching bcs I'm not a period drama person unless one of my favorite actors or actresses in it.
I've been seen clips of this drama on tiktok so much lately I decided to give it a try. I like it so far but i don't like the female cop. I know the actress is a good actress but the character she is playing is really annoying. In my opinion, the plot would do just fine if not better without her. At this point she is nothing but hindrance to everything Cafe Minambang group is trying to do or solve. This female cop is like a killjoy for the group and the plot.
I don't watch period dramas specially Chinese. Because they get way too cheesy with their flying, fighting and falling in love scenes. But I like the FL actress. She is not the traditional beauty you see in any asian drama. I just couldn't help but fall in love with her acting here. I was just going to just check out the first ep because of her but now, I have the same feeling i had when i was watching Meteor Garden. I don't think I can wait until it finishes airing in July. I just hope the plot doesn't go down the hell after the first few episodes.
I've never cared to watch this drama until it kept showing up in my tiktok fyp recently. I had to binge watch S1, 2. Actors change threw me off a bit in the beginning of S3 but so far it is going well except the ghost thing. I specially like the development of Sa Pi Young and Seo Dong Ma relationship. I just hope he is not playing with her or just doing this until he loses interest in her. He better not leave her at the end of this drama.

yeah hard no from me. in the beginning the FL was a strong willed woman who knew what her end goal was but at the end she failed miserably. I wasn't even sure if it ended, had to check how many eps this drama had. That should tell you how badly this drama ended.
I came for Shen Yue. but got bored after a few episodes. Maybe I'll pick it up again later.
Same here. I started this drama because of Shen Yue but after the first 3 eps, i decided to drop it completely. I don't think I will pick it up again. Actors are good its just that the story/plot is just too simple and boring for my taste.

So i'm justing watching it without eng sub🙃, plus I tend to skip a lot. So most of the time I just don't read the subs (unless its like Go Ahead or Love so beautiful 🙃). There are 4 eps uploaded to YT currently but they are not subbed either.
Wow, to me she looks older than her age in Flourish in time. Maybe the hair? I didn't know she is actually still in high school. She reminded me of Shen Yue and I thought they would be about the same age.
Not one of the best but this was better than expected. Gets pretty hilarious midway. I usually avoid body swapping dramas (specially female in male body or male in female body) because of the unrealistic ways writers come up to make the two leads fall in love and end up with each other at the end. Anyways, acting and the chemistry between the leads were great. I'd recommend if you need smth to watch on the weekends. finished it without waiting for the rest of the eng subs.
