what do people see in Nangong Pu Ye? It's so weird that people like her when she's barely in the drama and so…
@Jaym Nangong Pu Ye actually did hint to Xu Feng Nian why she is working so hard to become a martial arts master. She's a great character already. But I agree with you, I'm not with all the others who are pairing her with the ML. I think Jiang Ni still suits XFN more, imo.
Can this drama end already so I can watch it!!! I have nothing to watch
@cdrama I do, I have a recommendation. Try watching Strange Heroes aka The Vigilantes in Masks. If you can get past the boxing scene in the beginning, the rest is way too good. Something I haven't been able to find again in Cdramaland. An underrated drama honestly. Stars Wallace Huo and Liu Shi Shi among others.
Ahh dang it. I was thinking that there is no way they gonna finish telling this story in 30ish eps.. so there…
Oh my god, that's my fear. If there were to be more than one season, my fear is that they'll replace any of the major actors like how they did the ML in Ever Night.
The more I watch, the more I've come to love Qing Niao. Her cool but mature temperament hides a fiercely loyal…
I don't want a harem because I'm so for Xu Feng Nian and Jiang Ni. But since you mention it, I actually want to say that I really like that there is no outwardly annoying female cast thus far. They've all been great characters.
Yeah him acting like a kid in front of the monk is so funny. Xu Xiao's pretty much like 'I just wanna go back to bed. Who cares what happens to my son.' Lol 🤣
After being away for a few days to let the episodes catch up, I'm caught up myself to episode 31.
Every character we meet is still intriguing as ever. It's getting harder and harder for Xu Feng Nian and Jiang Ni to hide their affection towards each other. And everyone playing along with it is funny, even Huangman'er's teacher, which was funny to me, even he is going along with it.
I know Xu Feng Nian is the central character, but even his siblings have shown great depth to their characters, very cool depth to put it. I hope we will see some great mysteries and awe in Jiang Ni as well since she is the leading female character.
I like how after Qing Feng's dad left Mt. Longhu, everyone was able to voice their opinion with Xu Feng Nian including Jiang Ni, Qing Niao, and Huang Man'er. Something we didn't usually get to see.
When I saw Qing Feng's dad and her 3rd uncle fighting, I realized it was more about the thought and themes which the production valued more than the actual physical action/fighting scenes (which I usually enjoy). The different realms they mention and all, Qing Feng's dad doesn't just regard it as a martial arts level when he speaks to the 3rd uncle, he sees it also in the form of true wisdom and grace, for lack of a better word. But that realization made me appreciate this drama even more than I already did. And of course, I will still always love and desire martial art scenes.
But Qing Feng's dad and her uncles, were they real blood brothers? It still scares me with what money and power can do between family and relationships. That's just me getting too deep into this fantasy drama.
Big respect to Xuanyuan Jing Cheng who fought alone for what he believed in til his last breath. He was one great dad, husband, and would have been grandpa (based on his letter to his daughter). The writer outdid it for this character, amazing! Happy viewer here. There are many lessons to learn from Qing Feng's family alone, the way they address her dad, the inner struggles, the disrepect, and so on. So much in just a few episodes of seeing them.
But why do I fear Qing Feng's case among her clan is foreshadowing something bad between Xu Feng Nian and Jiang Ni's fate. I feel like I know but don't want to know at the same time.
Well, still loving this drama so far. I hope it satisfies to the end, I would like it to be able to nab the honor of being my first 10-star rating drama.
