Personally, I prefer watching dramas that I can truly enjoy. If I were in the female lead’s shoes, no matter how much I loved the guy, I would never date him if he and my best friend had feelings for each other in the beginning—it would just create an awkward situation. Moreover, considering that the second female lead is also shown to have feelings for him, the entire setup feels unnecessarily complicated. It’s interesting to note that you don’t seem to dwell much on the moral aspect of the storyline, but for me, it makes it difficult to appreciate a plot built on such blurred boundaries.

When the ML suddenly ‘falls’ for the FL only because of circumstances, it doesn’t reflect growth but inconsistency. The FL ends up feeling like a backup option, the other girl like a discarded placeholder, and their friendship reduced to collateral damage. Instead of portraying depth, the story exposes its own shallowness.
