I watched the first episode and suzy's acting has shown tremendous improvement. she is able to successfully capture her character's subtle nuances and the changes that come over her over the span of the episode.
The episode is a cinematic masterpiece, more driven by the acting and the moment rather than dialogues. Definitely something I would watch ahead. I hope the subs come out soon

Does the description above not just give the entire show away? I'm confused as to what I just read. It sounds…
I doubt the description is completely accurate. It does not talk about the ML's role as a pilot and the story is currently set in a time before the FL became a lecturer
People who have been defending this drama need to stop and think for a second.
"Are you defending it because your idol is in it or is it cause it aligns with your moral values?" "Would you have defending it if your idol is not in this show?"
A lot of people here want to show support for their actors which I understand but doing so is not only hurting the sentiments of a lot of Koreans but also creating more backlash towards the cast and production team. The show is set in an year which holds a lot of painful memories for Koreans, people who have suffered there are still very much alive. Their lives have been ruined and this show contains more triggers rather than meaningful depiction of the event. It undermines the emotions of those who have lived through those times and have been tortured and beaten up.
The claim that the show is fiction does not work, the NSA is a very real organisation that existed during the era. Showing NSA to be chasing down bad guys is practically its glorification because during that time thousands were killed by giving the excuse that they were North Korean spies. In a way, it is justifying what the NSA did during that era which is absolutely unacceptable. Even if you choose to treat the show like fiction, the narrative spun might make you feel sympathy for the characters part of the NSA, their lives and how they were so bent on doing the "right" thing. This sympathy is going to influence a lot of people to get the wrong sentiments and would be against the message Koreans wish to impart.
It would be better to remain silent and wait for the situation to play out cause no matter how interesting the show might be for you, it is causing serious harm to others. As an international fan who consumes Korean content, we need to be mindful of their boundaries, cultures and traditions.
In the end it is their private life and issues and she made it public. They are both adults. She should have never…
As a woman and a mother, it disgusts me that you choose to side with him. He forced her into giving up her child and was ultimately a sick and toxic man. People like him also need to be held at fault for the misdeeds they commit. The woman went through the pain of losing her child and is left with many emotional scars and pain. Gaslighting and manipulation are very real crimes that can force someone to do things that they are unwilling them to do.
It honestly disturbs me that so many of you are in the comments defending a sick man like him. The man forced that woman to abort her kid, it was a miracle baby as she had very low chances of getting pregnant. People like him also need to be held at fault for the misdeeds they commit. The woman went through the pain of losing her child and is left with many emotional scars and pain. I definitely agree! I mentioned at the first 6 episodes about ZSC in the novel and ZSC in the drama being a tad…
I dont have any connection to the characters no more idk why, like I went in so excited but everything seems so haphazard to some extent without proper development. I don't know whether it is the casting or the writing but there is something off in the onscreen portrayal. Seeing the script writer is the novel writer herself, I am going to blame it on the director and the casting. I genuinely feel we could have had much better actors take on this show and be more rewarded with the content we get. Both of their fortes are not modern characters in love and for a book that revolves so strongly in proving love without just physical intimacy they miss the mark. Esp when what attracted to me was how their love was so pure without the need for just inserting physical intimacy and how it came gradually rather than start off with it.
That being said, they are individually strong actors who played their parts to brilliance in One and Only, but I'm very disappointed with Forever and Ever. Couple of tropes that I want to see recreated from the book is the only reason I'm sticking around
I think the essence of the novel has been far lost in the show. Yes, the drama is great when you haven't read the novel but when you loved the novel and wait for it to come into a live-action... it is a tiny bit disappointing. The way the characters developed in the novel is no longer the way the characters are shown to be in the drama. It feels a bit off to me, like the development seems unnatural. The initial awkwardness, the efforts to get over it, ZSC being the one who comes in control of their relation and stops being the unexperienced person in love he is. I wish a couple of episodes had been better dedicated to explaining ZSC's feelings for her and their growth because it was so sudden that he suddenly asked her out.
Also, there was something about ZSC's personality (in the novel) where he wasn't the one to show PDA but did his very best when he was alone with her, I personally liked that entire growth of him of him being a shy boy, then start taking initiative for her and then getting comfortable with this.
