Oh finally it ended well. This started as good and as it reached the middle like episode 5 to 8 it was on fire, then they dragged the balance few episodes and the final episode was good. I really doubted they would screw the final episode, but the team managed to pull it off. But I do wish it to have more romantic scene between the main leads. It would be good if it had few additional off eps.

The reason why he mocks people is because those comments are rude and it is hurting the good feelings that we have about those characters. And there had been 100s of comments that were personal down here that criticisize the character of the ones who do love the series. And if you've seen this comment section at the time of series airing, you would understand what that feels like.

So I guess from your list, you like plots that are interesting, heavy drama and sweet romance. Then you should really read some manga atleast cause only very few bl series have the qualities that meet your style. Most of the bl series are mainly sweet campus stories. Since you have no experience with bl outside series, you should start with anime or manga.
I will suggest few manga with heavy romance, drama and character complexity:

2. Totally captivated

More than that she is trying to prove the fact that was not rape, and trying to stop people from not watching the show because of the dark commentary section.
