Should i watch this first or when destiny brings the demon .. which one's much better?
personally loved them both, best dramas i watched in 2025, LITC is like 11/10 for me and WDBTD was 9,5/10. i watched WDBTD first cause LITC wasnt out yet. i think you should give WDBTD a try after LITC. the leads were great, lots of chemistry and affectionate scenes between them. it also didnt drag for me which is rare
For those who have watched, which one should I watch first Love in the CloudFated Hearts Shadow LoveLegend of…
Love in the clouds was the best for me, Shadow Love i thought i was gonna love but i dropped it at ep 6 - for some reason i couldnt get into it at all. Moonlit reunion was decent - the best thing about it was the FL, i loved her, she carried the drama for me, it had some weaker points but i generally really enjoyed it, especially the first half. Fated hearts and Legend of female general i havent watched yet
I'm at episode 33 and I regret that we don't know what happened in the past for real and every past is just Xiao…
I dont think we know when they actually met, cause you said it well - Xiao Yao is displaced in time in all 3 time lines. She created a time loop, its hard to tell when its the beggining and when its the end. Essentially for Xiao Yao the present is the beginining cause that's when she met HY and that's when she starts to time travel. HY kind of meets her anew in every time line. Its frustrating we dont have an estabilished time line, its a cycle, we dont have the 3rd person POV that would be objective when it comes to the past. That's how i see it
I am confused, does it have a Happy ending or Sad? or is it the FAV. type for C dramas "Open ending"?…
For me it was a sad ending with badly executed attempt at making it an open ending. For me that attempt didnt work, logically thinking about it. But you might have a different interpretation if you watch it
Why did she choose specifically THAT time and day? It was the night she came home and would give Hong Ye a red…
There's no starting point cause there's a loop - hard to tell what was a beginning and what was the end. We didnt have a linear time line here at all in my opinion. The noodles are just another proof for me that they are stuck in na endless cycle of cause and effect. Making some changes in the past might create another time line, od rather another loop, possibly interlocked with the one existing. In my opinion to end the cycle she would have to stop going back to the past and live the rest of her life as it is. But that means no Hong ye. What i would do in her place is i would try to find the solution in the present, not the past
Why did she choose specifically THAT time and day? It was the night she came home and would give Hong Ye a red…
i think she might just restart the time loop again - so everything will happen again, as it does in a time loop. they didnt really show any indication that the loop might be broken so a straight time line could be estabilished. the more i think about it the more i feel like i was watching "dark" on netflix, my brain hurts. if they wanted to imply some hopeful beginning there, they should have done it more clearly honestly
calling it an open ending is a stretch in my opinion - the ending is rather sad, and there's an attempt on making it open but the attempt is unsuccesful in my opinion. as it stands, it's unclear whether they wanted to ease some pain from the actual ending this way or just added the last bit to confuse the audience - either way people seem to interpret it differently, which can already tell you its very questionable how it ended. for me it was unsatisfying
After finishing TUS, one thing I dislike about Xiayao is that she’s way too idealistic and optimistic about…
absolutely agree - you put everything i was thinking into words. as for the ending i actually think she cant save HY, she can only go back in time. i also dont think HY died - i actually think its worse - he's sealed away, suspended in void. cannot live and cannot really die - cannot even reincarnate. if they implied XY can somehow pull him out and find a diffrent way for hiding the mirror it would be open ending, but as it is - i think it's just plain tragic for HY. for XY i think she deserves to have him only in memories - she caused him quite a bit of pain, maybe it's better they dont reunite at all, or maybe im just being negative
i would recommend to try it out, its good quality, even if the direction of the story i didnt personally liked…
i understand completely, for me it wasnt wasted time cause i still enjoyed the performance of the actors and the visuals. its completely fine to drop it at any point you start feeling like its not it. for anyone concerned about the ending i think its okay to watch until ep 32 and leave it at that :D
Would you recommend this drama? Is the ending as horribly written as some say? Was the overall execution of this…
i would recommend to try it out, its good quality, even if the direction of the story i didnt personally liked all that much. i liked it a lot in the beginning, but from what ive seen most people liked the later plots better (except the ending maybe). if its not for you, you will know quickly i think. costume dramas i personally enjoyed the most in recent months were: when destiny brings the demon (GREAT romance), love in the clouds (same lead there - HMH, i loved it), love of the divine tree was pretty good, i liked moonlit reunion (great FL in this one in my opinion), a moment but forever (entertaining to watch but nothing groundbreaking)
i dont know how to rate this. this drama was kind of a mess. i loved the actors - everyone did phenomenal job with the script they were given, especially the leads. their chemistry at first was weird, like there was something missing, but later it became clear why and it vastly improved. i still think the first episodes in terms of building up their relationship could have been done better - but it made sense in the end. i enjoyed the first 12 episodes the most, then the few episodes where XY travelled 100 years back in time. the rest unfortunately as i said - a mess. had tropes executed in a way that either tired me out or infuriated me. but nothing infuriated me as much as the last few episodes. the visuals and special effects were excellent, so was the OST. had potential but essentially i think it wasn't for me. just for the good job both the leads did i think im gonna give it an 8, cause i think many people would enjoy the way the story went, i just wasn't one of them. i dont regret watching it cause it had good moments too - but there were better dramas for me in this genre
Xiao Yao killed Hong Ye for killing demons and imprisoning the three great demons, but she did nothing to Ao Hen…
im on ep 38 and its infuriating. "the debt you owe must be repaid" - exuse me? he just did repay the debt - did to demons exactly what they have given humans, if anything they are even now. "atone for demons? "what about the other way around? the point is the humans and demons are as bad and as good as each other but it seems only HY is paying the price for anything right now lol
Xiao Yao killed Hong Ye for killing demons and imprisoning the three great demons, but she did nothing to Ao Hen…
it kinda looks like XY holds HY to higher standards and expactations than anyone else around her, forgetting he's a living being with feelings like everyone else. i kinda understand the human HY, at least more than i understand XY at this point. maybe in the end she does deserve to have him only in her memories but with 4 chapters to go i might change my mind
Tbh, if you want to enjoy this drama, just enjoy the characters, they have amazing onscreen presence, almost each…
im on ep 21 and i agree - characters, visuals, even OST are good, but the story line just doesn't pull you in as it could. im so tired of this trope when you supposedly have these powerful clever characters but they are always powerless when it matters. and unfortunately it happens here a lot - and it's the story line;'s fault. the actors do the best they can with what they were given but it's not enough
as it stands, it's unclear whether they wanted to ease some pain from the actual ending this way or just added the last bit to confuse the audience - either way people seem to interpret it differently, which can already tell you its very questionable how it ended.
for me it was unsatisfying
