indeed, i dont think they properly utilized the actors abilities and potential either. i do think they had chemistry together. but they just didnt have the space to explore feelings their both characters had for each other - or rather could have for each other

it will only last on his expense. also i dont think they would last cause they dont really know each other - they didnt really have one truly honest and open conversation with each other. im really wondering what the ML really loves about her - cause he has only seen her intelligence and composure. not much else. its not enough to maintain a loving relationship at all. and who knows what she really feels for him - she never shows true sincerity, not really, not for him. she might care for him and he might have flustered her a few times, but as ive said its just not enough

im on 21 ep and i agree. unfortunately from the comments ive read its gonna go downhill from there when it comes to her treatment of ML. i dont hate the FL at all but i dont think the drama and script has given both the characters room to build a proper relationship

im on ep 18 and it isnt sparking much joy for me tbh, but there were a few pretty good episodes after episode 11. you can give it a try for a bit longer. im personally watching until the yang case is solved or until it pisses me off too much

im not sure cause im only on ep 18 and dont know how far i will go, but ive read somewhere in the comments that he was possibly drugged for some time being there? but it wasnt explicitly said, only hinted at in the drama. feel free to correct me

i watched it a while back, i really enjoyed it. not much romance in here if anyone's wondering, some people didnt like the relationship between the leads - i personally didnt mind it, didnt love it but didnt hate it either. for me they had some chemistry but it was built different than in other dramas. its also not the main point of the drama. the FL is amazing, one of the best ive seen and the actress did such a good job. i liked the ending too. if you have issues committing to a longer drama but want to watch something decent i recommend to try it out

if you'd like a shorter drama thats well made and has a really badass FL i recommend Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance - not very romance heavy but its a good watch and underrated in my opinion

Exactly! I even asked on here a copuple of days ago if it really is equally split drama between the leads and i was assured it was - few episodes and days later and all i see in the comments is how female centric it is and that the ML became a secondary character. Summary was absolutely misleading. I personally also like female centric dramas, but i hate the sneaky shit, making people believe something else to pull viewers in. It should be stated clearly in the tags and summary what exactly you're getting into

i probably will, if only to know if i should reconsider watching further, maybe at least up to episodes that are still acceptable. most people seemed to like it till at least ep 20-22. i sometimes watch only in part and just end at a place where i dont enjoy anymore (for example kill me love me - loved first 20 episodes, dropped it at that and i dont regret it one bit, i might even rewatch them but i have no intention to watch this till the end). see you! :)

What can you do, some will push back no matter what. I think its good to give some criticism cause some things in dramas might be triggers for people, and its better to read a review and avoid it than feel bad watching it or simply just waste time on it. Not talking about obvious hate tho, thats another story. Its also natural to voice some disappointment if you invested time and energy into watching and in the end you get bitter feelings. Personally im old and cranky, after i come from work i want to watch something that would give me satisfaction, not just frustation, so i appreciate feedback thats both good and bad

See, that's what i appreciate. Ive read description of flourished peony and i can clearly see who's this drama really about. Not like here, where i expect at least two story lines but it ends up to be one. Its so sneaky, and not in a good way

I also recommend for a strong FL and mature romance A dream of splendor if anyone is looking for something decent. Yeah, i think i will give up on Glory, at least for now, cause i know i would get triggered if i continued 😂

Exactly! I really hate that. Its offensive towards women and doesnt represent anything real. And you have to have something real in a drama or a character to connect to it in a certain way

I also dislike making strong female leads ice statues without weakness and emotions - its like they make them colossal bitches to show strength. It makes them flat and it also doesnt represent how strong women actually are 🤷

Good lord. I dont like watching characters being humiliated and not deserving it, it triggers something dark in me 😟 as you said, no matter what characters represent, in a love story line there should be some respect and dignity for me to enjoy. I like more mature romances too, at least with some semblance of communication at some point of the plot. Thank you for your comment, i really think i shouldnt watch this

Im honestly horrified reading the comments about it. Ive watched female centric, strong FL dramas but ive never seen so many comments like this regarding the story line and FL development. Im gonna drop this i think

Honestly im so sick and tired of being misled by those creating the dramas - the description and tags suggest one thing and then you get something completely different. The description of this drama suggest both leads working together, that the story is about both of them. But every recent comment here suggest such a shift in dynamics that the desciption turns deceiving. Why are they doing this - why cant they explicitely say what's the real focus of the story so you actually know what you are watching?

Damn, ive read so many good things before starting. I like strong female leads, i like the actor playing male lead, i like some family scheming drama too but every comment i saw in the past 2 days about it has been confirming all my initial hesitations about watching the drama. Such a shame
