since the progression of the relationship between the leads is unusual, its very difficult to say when they really get together. i guess you could say they had a fall out in ep 19. love triangle is impossible to discern, cause the FL literally has a husband competition in the first half of the drama - and she almost marries someone else (not for feelings tho). she never really shows interest in any other man, she barely shows any interest in the ML. the ending is happy - they get together i guess. true romance? absolutely not. the romance is not a big part of the plot, its somewhere in the background and the relationship is rather one-sided (the ML keeps chasing her), whatever is between them is underdeveloped in my opinion. there are a few kissing scenes, not many, i guess if you remove the context of them happening you could say they are good (two scenes with more aggressive kissing, and some with gentle ones). not many skinships, a few suggestive scenes. in general i recommend to watch if you like female centric, family and bussiness drama. FL prioritizes her family and family bussiness and thats a big part of what and how she is. its mostly that. if you like mature and well communicated couples, you may me disappointed, that being said, they had some chemistry, especially in the beginning. wow, thats a long comment, sorry for that

the main point of the drama is the rong family - the relationship between the sisters and their scheming against each other. also taking out some enemies of the Rong family and solving the case that has landed the ML in this predicament, the FL is heavily involved in it. honestly there are a few more things that appear but its mostly to show how capable the FL is. the husband competition turns more serious and then the focus moves on to what ive mentioned before. not much romance either (well there is some...i guess...). if you dont like the husband thingy you may try to stick it out if you like inter-family intrigues

Watched it a while back. I liked it but didnt love it. To anyone expecting romance here - dont, its very minimal. The friendships were great and i liked the main intrigue. For me solid 8/10

Ive also had the same question but i figured the FL kinda positioned him that way to keep the other hyenas (husband prospects) from further harming her idiot cousin. Maybe she also wanted to keep him closer and discover his schemes that way. And maybe she was a bit interested too 🤷 at this point im not even sure anymore

Ive read that only the last 6 episodes are more about the ML and his issues but even there the FL inserts herself and plays the mastermind. Dont know tho cause ive only watched 21 episodes so far but ive read the spoilers cause at this point i dont care to discover anything myself 😂

No, me too, i think they messed up the development of main characters to the point that its very difficult to became engaged with their story. I also personally really hate that the summary promised completely different drama than it really is. I watched 21 episodes and i might continue a bit further just to see how much i can take 😆

Exactly. She saw how the situation was turning out and she knew it would be more beneficial to her reputation to speak up in the end. No doubt she does have morals and a sense of justice and she was in a bit of a bind there but stilo. Everything in the end depended on her word. His entire investigation came down to her admitting that the woman is mrs yang 🤷

Protecting family honor and listening to the higher than saints grandma. Im gonna continue this mess tomorrow. You will see what she does in the end but it didnt really do much for me when it came to her character at all

The love makes you stupid thing doesnt work for me here 😂 it just doesnt. Not with supposedly scheming character like LJL. It just doesnt fit. They discribed him one way and presented him in another. I have a whiplash between character expectation and reality here

Also dont get me started on the development of the FL. We know she is Smart and cunning. But how do we know? Cause we are told. We are.not actually shown how she is one step ahead of everyone, how she's plotting and planning. We only see the result

Its seriously frustrating to watch cause it undermines the character he was supposed to be. Maybe i would have understood it if i was shown how it really happened. But i feel like it "just happened", without proper build up and some of his insight. He kinda just looked at her one day and went "hell yea i want that" and that was that. For me thats lazy writing 🤷

but hey, she smiled at him like 3 times. i guess he fell for that. for such an intelligent man that the character is supposed to be, it really didnt take much
