wu lei is the only actor that i’ve watched all of his dramas as main leads, even though a few of them have low rating, solely because i wanna see how he portrays his character in each drama.
what makes him different with another actors is how versatile his projects are. he always picks a good script that will excel his skills in real life. even in AASOL, we got to see him as a genius billiard player and he did all the shot by himself.
i just hope he will choose another good drama’s script, so we’ll get to see it next year.

when Lin Yi Yang bowed to his teacher, i couldn’t hold my tears. it was such a long-awaited, heartfelt moment that i’ve been secretly waiting for. love this episode so much.
seriously, each episode of this drama always has that “magical” moment.
after watching this, i tried to watch several recent costume dramas and there’s nothing come close to this in terms of main leads’ chemistry and their love story. i wish in the future there will be more smart ML and FL like this one.
btw, i just found out that WOL is only available in ASEAN and China/TW/Macau, and not available globally. i wonder why? this drama is amazing and should get more promoted (during the airing time this drama was lack of promotion as well). it would be nice if we could see Xu Kai and Jing Tian in Hello Saturday or any other variety shows to promote their drama.
why this drama gets a low rating even after it’s completed? usually the rating will be higher after the final episode and based on some reviews/comments that i’ve seen, this drama surely doesn’t deserve the rating below 8.

i remember the wetv subs for that scene was “yin guo is my girlfriend.” did they change it to “yin guo is my wife”?
because if they changed it, then they translated it right. in that ep, the ML literally said in chinese “yin guo is my wife.”
what he said it’s not like she’s literally his wife, but to phrase it more than just called her “girlfriend”. it shows that ML is very serious with the purpose to marry the FL.
Zhao Jin Mai’s crying scene was so, so good it made me cry with her too. i even needed to pause the scene to compose myself. she conveyed all the emotions very well.

i do feel the same. when he booked a train ticket for her i also felt a bit bothered by his action because he didn’t ask her permission first, though i know he did it with good intention and Yin Guo didn’t mind after all.
but in recent episode, when Yi Yang got drunk and he talked about wanting Yin Guo to eat the cake, Yin Guo’s inner self said something like “why are you always so good to me? we just got together. don’t you know how to play hard to get?” her thoughts and self-awareness hit me the most. i think it doesn’t like she never feels bothered about Yi Yang’s actions before, but she’s now just more aware and fully understand about Yi Yang’s nature of being so good to her, and instead of being burdened by it, she simply accept it.
still i hope he will be more opened-up, let his guard down, and always talk something beforehand to her. they’re just a few weeks (or months?) into their relationship, so they’re still have so much time to make it up for it.
before this i’ve never truly enjoyed watching on-going dramas, but in this one i enjoyed it a lot and even already rewatched some episodes to kill the time while waiting for new episodes 💓
when Lin Yi Yang came to watch her game and suddenly appeared outside the door, the scene took my breath away. i was stunned like those people in the room who saw him; seriously, i didn’t see that coming. the moment was unexpected and moved me in every way.
