this drama hits 1 billion views in less than 20 days and is very popular in china, the tv ratings are quiet high (they even achieved 3%). i’ll start picking up on this.
Same. In moonlight also, he played that type of guy who is aloof to everyone but cute and romantic with fl and…
agree to that, and his acting has improved so much since moonlight. but idk if he will take any idol dramas since his projects recently are historical dramas.
But it's still so beautiful to see her portray those emotions and the emotional scenes actually were very heart…
yeah, agree to that. i just feel that the ending is kinda bittersweet eventhough it’s happy ending for almost everyone. i haven’t read the novel yet so idk if the ending is similar to the drama.
i’ll rewatch this when i’m craving for some angst 😅
When does yi yang meet meng xiao dong and is meng xiao dong mean to him?
they meet in pretty earlier episodes when LYY is still in Helshinki (i guess eps 6 above or something) and nope, MXD doesn’t mean to LYY. in fact he’s very supportive towards LYY and YG’s relationship.
this drama (maybe almost) doesn’t have any negative characters. the story revolves around the main leads.
i just finished this drama and i’m glad that i wasn’t discourage by the rating when i decided to start this. so far this is one of the best miniseries for me. for the similar plot-line, this is better than some of long-form dramas out there.
usually for a short length drama, we’re lacking in acting’s department. but in this one, imo all actors did a good job of portraying their characters. i simply watched this for the main leads and i love how their relationship progressing. the romance between them didn’t feel force nor draggy.
storywise it wasn’t something unique or anything, got repetitive and draggy towards the end. but i love that this story focused on the main leads, so they took so much screentime in this drama. for that alone, the repetitive plot-line was still bearable for me because i loved watching our main leads on screen.
ps. everyone’s been talking about the steamy kiss in episode 25, and after watching how it turned out, i wish that a full length c-drama could also do the same 😔
i love the FL in this drama. it’s such a breath of fresh air seeing the FL that can stand up for herself and is not entirely relying on the ML or waiting for him to save her.
aside the main leads and ML’s secretary, all the supporting characters were really bad at acting, especially the one who played Li Weiwei 🥲 this made me couldn’t take her character seriously. but overall given this short length drama and i didn’t put any expectations at first, they’re still bearable to me.
this drama is a light watch, and so easy to binge-watch because of the FL and ML. they have good chemistry and i love their interactions.
I haven’t been seeing too many bad outfits lately. I am spoiled by the recent dramas I have been watching. I…
agreed to what you said that recent dramas (especially with high rating) mostly have good outfits. somehow i just really noticed about it after watching AASOL 😅
is it a drama from 2015? i saw the comments and they said something bad about the FL’s hairstyle.
Wu Lei is the only c-drama actor whose dramas I really follow. I love him for his attention to detail and versatility.…
agreed! i’m always curious about his projects as well because he never did the same role and usually he only filmed 1-2 projects each year. i also admired that he’s open to doing both modern and historical dramas.
i’d give this a 10/10 if only they would make a clear ending for the last 2 eps and explain more about the situation. i’d like to see Chang Feng and Qian Yue hugged for the last time.
i’m not a fan of short length drama because they usually can’t captivate me with their story; either it’s too rush, too many plot holes, bad acting, poor cinematography, bad costumes, etc. but after watching this show, i feel like this drama is so much better than some of full length dramas i’ve seen with the traffic actors.
this drama hooked me since the very first episode. what i liked about this drama: - ML and FL have a great chemistry. i love their eyes and how they love each other. - good SML and SFL. well, SML was an anti-hero, but he slowly softened towards the SFL. - good plot. it’s not extravagant or anything, but really a good one. - when ML and FL cried, i cried. when SML and SFL cried, i cried too. it’s not happen often. i watched this drama after knowing the ending and getting so many spoilers, and usually i won’t cry for the sad scenes because i already know what will happen. but in this one, i cried a lot and i’d give it stars to the actors! well done. especially SFL, i really love her and i can’t imagine what her life would be after knowing the truth in the end.
for a low budget production, this one have a beautiful cinematography, costumes, and settings. this is my most favorite short drama after A Familiar Stranger. i just wish they’d make a clearer ending like AFS, but i guess i’ll just take it for what it is.
i didn’t expect it either since barely people talked about this drama here, but in china it’s pretty popular.
