Ratings for Xu Kai are always underrated.

Hua Ruyue uses a Time Reversal Dial to travel back and create an alternate timeline where, by altering events like preventing Xiao Jingshan’s villainy, she and Bai Jiusi avoid the tragedies that shaped their tumultuous love story across multiple lifetimes, saved their child, and live happily. It means they also lost the experiences that shaped their love in the present timeline. Their love in the parallel timeline will be shaped differently. Returning to her present, the Time Goddess (fairy godmother) says changing the past doesn’t fully fix Ruyue’s original world because time and space is a closed loop (that's why she could only create a parallel timeline for happiness but only magic can change her present). When Ruyue comes back to her present, she used the time dial to find Jiusi “asleep beneath the ice. She still carries the pain of abandonment, losing her child, and betrayal. The Time Goddess doesn’t wipe away this hurt but grant them a miraculous reunion or a fairy tale finish after lifetimes of pain, they get to live happily ever after. The End.

What makes this drama a true masterpiece is that there are so many amazing characters and relationships. Its' about the main characters yet the supporting cast can still have own stories. It's a rich experience.

that's the initial feeling but once you get to know Shanggu you forget that because her presence is so powerful. you could find a conventional beauty to play the part, but it won't be the same feeling because her acting is so powerful and moving. I find that a tall handsome cold true god and spirited petite chief god makes for good chemistry. It's not just romance, their interactions are heartwarming and fun too. I really love their intimate scenes; no other Chinese actress could have created that same feeling with Bai Jue. I esp. love the way she got close to him and that scene where she taught poor clueless Bai Jue the move. Bai Jue grew up isolated and hard life, scary. He never played as a child. Shangu did everything Bai Jue never did. She opened his eyes to what existence is all about, to love and be loved, and he doesn't have to be alone. They really complete each other, I feel she completes him more.

she's young and spoiled (they all spoiled her and didn't even bother to teach her sword skills or let her have any responsibilities, they only show her how to have a good time esp. go to mortal realm, because her powers are blocked so they feel bad for her and try to protect her like any parent would) but she is very kind, good-hearted and means well. In Ep 1 dating event, she tried to help but her powers are too weak, so the spell didn't go right. She's smart, full of life and curiosity like most young people. No one has ever expected her to work hard, learn, grow, put childish things aside, and give her responsibilities and challenges (because her powers were blocked) until Bai Jue showed up and was forced to help her. I love this Shanggu portrayal that her beauty comes from within the person. The actress has won more best actress awards than you can count. She's an exceptional actor.

The Tian Qi and Yue MI in Moonlight Mystique are not the same characters as Tian Qi and Yue Mi in Ancient Love Poetry. The two dramas are unrelated and have nothing in common.

She was very young. It was her first crush. She said she fell for his good looks. In fact, all the girls fell for Bai Jue, but he wants nothing to do with girls, not even a female fly. After his cold treatment, he got under her nerve, and she swore she would destroy him when she gets power. When he realizes he misunderstood her intentions, he changed his attitude toward her that allowed them to get to know each other better. They experienced some intimacy when he tried to unblock her powers with too much force and had to hold her. I believe this was a pivotal moment in their relationship. He became more interested and supportive of her not just as master and student. He may not realize his true feelings right away, but he made a very powerful sword for her. She by now has fallen in love with him. But the evil former Chief God could tell that Bai Jue had fallen for her. I think it wasn't until she got mad at him for not disclosing their plan that he realized how much he cared about her and tried to show he's sorry. At this point, she's got him hooked. He sends her to the demon place to elevate her power and that's when we see the depth of what he is willing to do for her.

You actually think differences in ratings are meaningful. Xu Kai dramas are underrated because they are never artificially boosted to offset haters giving low scores like 1's and 2's.

She did not neglect her son. She couldn't care for him because she had to work. She suffered too.

The labels for endings only focus on the main leads; yet even when it's a HE, it still carries sadness and tragedy. For example, his only surviving relatives died, his father died suddenly—shockingly and tragically—just as they’re about to reunite after a long estrangement, or all his buddies, including his best friend, fall in an epic, savage battle. How about the HE when everyone dies except the main couple.

this I think is his first xianxia role and he did really well, same with the other Yu Zheng supporting actors, also their first, since it's Yu Zheng first, oh and Joseph Zeng's first xianxia too

I think the reason Douban still has not released its score is that for over week now, it's been flooded with 5-stars that the comments read like AI generated. These comments supposedly translated too would get A+ in writing. I wonder how they determine what is real and what is fake.

Gosh, Douban has released the score 6.1 and from looks of it they removed most of the 1 stars and 5 stars, but even after score has been released now, whoever is doing it, still flooding it with 5 stars one after another (80% of the comments are all 5 stars with perfect AI written comments. Don't they know Douban is moderating it and will remove them.

Early on, people on Douban gave Feud mostly 1-star ratings (5 point scale). But in at least the last five days, 4- and 5-star reviews have taken over, and those low ratings have mostly disappeared. Looking at the most recent 100 rated comments, the average score now sits above 6 on a ten-point scale. That’s a small sample, but it shows a shift in sentiment. It’s hard to say how much these recent rated comments affect the total score. But based on Bai Lu’s last two xianxia dramas, which scored around 5.6 and 5.8, Feud probably won’t be worse than that. TTEOTM was super popular, and MM did well too—MM which aired early January, even hit #5 last week! Since Feud is Yu Zheng’s first try at xianxia, it’s likely he jumped in partly to ride Bai Lu’s wave of popularity in the genre. Makes sense from a producer’s point of view.
