I get it why fans may feel so heated about the topic. But the drama is female centric, at least the novel, but I hold hope that second half of this drama, Mei Zhuyu will have more screen time. I actually think the drama is not as female centric as the novel. He can't really show his real powers until the story develops so once his identity is out there, and the plot is revealing itself, I should think he will get more screen time because there should be a clash between celestial masters and the demon world (my guess) and Mei Zhuyu will be at the center of it alongside Wu Zhen. I bet Mei Zhuyu will have at least one super emotional scene (I hope), His next two shorter dramas are male centric, hopefully he will dominate all the episodes.

I didn't compare BCE to this drama, I didn't say Oh BCE was so much better, I merely said take for example in BCE, the same was said of him and he came okay. Next time, I'll say, in another drama, I have tried to not compare dramas unless someone brings it up.
