I wonder why LLJ's mother who is also HT's grand aunt is so different (happy person) from the rest of the stuffy family. That humongous round table won't help this family to get closer to each other anytime soon. In the novel, JX's parents did not want her to marry into this kind of wealthy family. they worried about her happiness and well-being.
The merger did not swallow up XingChen. Her company, products, mission, vision, employees, all that stuff are still intact except she is now VP of Hanhai-XingChen. Had it not been for HT recognize her capabilities and had faith in her, her startup would not make it. It was not a true merger. The two companies are under him, operate separately (JX and her employees can continue as before), each with own core competencies but also can collaborate and leverage each other.
Guys guys, both are wrong from each other's view point. Both are right in their own view point.Han Ting was wrong…
HT plans span over a decade. I'm not saying who is right or wrong. HT always has things under his control. It's natural to him. There are business dealings he cannot disclose to her, especially when he hasn't even made it public. It's his fault to mix personal and business. He may be able to separate it but JX is someone who relies on her feelings.
I find Han Ting to be a paradox. HT doesn’t rely on emotions, finds himself drawn to JX, who embraces her feelings, one is analytical and pragmatic, the other guided by intuition and heart. One would think Zeng Di would be the rational choice to help him - well, HT doesn't need anyone's help, perhaps that's why he doesn't need to choose her type. I supposed HT sees Ji Xing as more capable but needs guidance. JX who is opposite of him, naive, impulsive, spontaneous, and emotional (even more so in the novel) actually is providing him an outlet and stimulating to him. He is intrigued by her and enjoys teasing her.
The Hanhai executive when competing with XingChen tells HT he feels he might be offending his future wife. HT wants to merge Hanhai and XingChen "not as a pure merger" but "an organic integration", and "keep Hanhai's comprehensiveness as well as XingChen's innovativeness". HT gave total autonomy to JX not because he likes JX but because he always believed in her capabilities to develop innovative products. That was the deciding factor JX signed the contract with HT when she was looking for angel investment.
Han Ting’s family dynamics in both the novel and the drama molded him into a rational character with remarkable emotional control and allows him to navigate complex situations with a clear head. While he experiences emotions, he does not let them dictate his actions. He is always rational and can compartmentalize emotions like a mental filing system for feelings, allowing him to focus on strategic decisions without being swayed by emotional turbulence.
I know where both are coming from in this fight so I can’t blame either of them. JX always viewed HanHai as…
I could be wrong, but I think HT always wins the argument with JX in this story if not at first, eventually, she sees things his way too because he is so rational. He has not done anything malicious toward her.
And what do you think about Li Li and XYX?. This man is quite stupid... I mean, He said that he can't give her…
Has he explained why? I read somewhere that XYX had either promised his wife before she died or else after she died, he would never remarry. But he should have told her up front before starting a relationship and having her fall in love with him.
I realize the Douban score is very preliminary and based on only 14k user ratings so far and subject to change, but I have to say that the initial distribution of 25.5% of 5-stars is excellent and hope it can maintain. Many super popular dramas receive anywhere from 13% to 17%. For example, JOL S2 with Douban of 7.2 received 19.5%. A high percentage of 5-stars is an indication that the drama is truly loved by its target audience and has high entertainment value. However, this drama also has a high percentage of 2-stars which is a sign of disgruntled viewers (nitpick) and passersby (uninterested) that dragged down the score.
Woof I really hope it’s short-lived. You can’t drag them apart for so long.
if they just go to chp 80. then 9 eps remaining from breakup s/b adequate, about 1/2 ep. per chapter. Then 3 to 4 ep. from breakup to making up is prob. okay. Maybe they will have a few scenes at the very last episode of them growing old together?

Breakup is ep. 31 which is chp 61, getting back together is chp 70, last chp 80, then there are the 7 extra chp to end of their life. There are 9 eps. remaining from breakup to end of life if that is how far the drama goes.
