Hoping for lots of very close ups from this director who specializes in close ups. The closer up the more XK's expressions radiate even if the character is subdued.

I'm not fond of the voice actor for Li Ni in WOL. Xu Kai's voice would have been better, but he's never used his voice in a costume drama. I hope he has the opportunity to in the future.

For me, Yichen is just a casualty of JX's life changing events. He's not important to the main story.

My take on it. JX and Yichen wanted to save up enough money to buy a flat before getting married. Even before the proposal, they knew they would marry each other. Now, Yichen is approaching 30 and seems eager to settle down. It makes sense that he didn’t wait to propose to his second girlfriend, who is also approaching 30 and suitable for married life with him. Both are far along in their careers and have the financial means to get married, unlike when Yichen was with JX all those years. Back then, they were younger, establishing their careers, and trying to save up money. Meanwhile, JX’s ambitions have taken a different direction, no longer compatible with Yichen’s idea of married life. JX suddenly experienced life-changing events, such as quitting her job and starting a company, which sparked ambitions she had suppressed to be with Yichen. The second girlfriend should have sought JX’s blessings after JX and Yichen broke up, but she was too apprehensive.

The story is not about Yichen and JX’s relationship falling apart. In Episode 1, Scene 1, JX tells her mom she’s been looking for a flat before marrying Yichen. She even found one near a school for their future kids. JX and Yichen always knew they would marry. She turned down SZZ’s offer because she needed the bonus from her stable job for the flat’s downpayment. Her life revolved around her future with Yichen, suppressing her ambitions and enduring a job she disliked for their sake.
Despite loving her job as the main architect behind the Bay robot, JX had no career future at Guangsha. Her colleagues took credit for her work, and her boss lied and didn’t promote her. After standing up for herself, she faced mistreatment and eventually got fed up. When her life’s status quo changed, problems in her relationship with Yichen surfaced. Her ambitions became a problem for Yichen. She never rejected his proposal but felt it wasn’t the right time to marry due to the stress of starting a company. They had waited so long; a few more months seemed reasonable to her.
JX rejected Yichen’s financial help after overhearing him say he wanted to help her overcome her ambitions. JX, a person who stands up for herself, didn’t want help with the wrong attitude. She even refused financing from HY because it didn’t meet her principles. This stubbornness and adherence to her principles will eventually lead to conflict with HT. Although HT has a crush on JX, he never got between her and Yichen nor let it interfere in his business plans. Yichen’s love had conditions, requiring JX to curb her ambitions, while HT’s love encouraged her to soar.
JX can be her true self with HT, whose world of AI Medical she loves. Their story is about more than romance; they are a powerful couple sharing a passion for AI Medical. JX will become HT’s equal partner in business. The gorilla in HT’s office, gifted by XWX upon his return to China, symbolizes their fate, as “gorilla” sounds like “da xing xing” in Chinese. This symbol underscores that JX and HT are destined to be together. The drama will make you want to revisit the beginning to see their evolution and how HT nurtured JX to become his partner, as well as his ruthless pursuit of doubling Dongyang’s stock price and achieving his vision for AI Medical.

How many times did he throw things when he gets mad. he threw all those books and Zijin says what you did was not throw these books but what a woman would do for a man she cares about (something like that) then she says I adore you. and leaves. The crown prince stands here in shock. "What did she just say?" Eunuch says "she adores you", CP: "No before that". go get her back otherwise, don't come back (how many times has he said that). He almost threw something when he got jealous. He did throw something when Zjin didn't talk for months. The ending is so sad when Enunch betrays him and what he has to do to him. The relationship between Zhu Zanji and Zijin there are some similarities to ABAY in their conflict. Zijin said she wanted to be equal with him. It took me a while to finally understand their conflict because I think some scenes got cut but I found a lot of great back and forth comments in You Tube that helped me understand why they have all these conflicts with each other. The actor who played Chen Wu (Zhu Zanji's other enunch) is also handsome. RF production is so beautiful.
