Its beautiful. The book is simply fantastic. I love it that they chose to stick close to the book. (As it seems…
Don't you think that was also Ji Xing's love for Shao Yichen? She was passionate about her work but at the same time, he held a special place in her heart; yet, it was not enough for Shao Yichen, He needed more of her time. Isn't this the same as what Han Ting is saying to Ji Xing that he's going to always have other interests besides her, but as far as loving someone, she's only one in his heart.
Did you see the praise written by his stylist for National Treasure?"From the bottom of my heart, Xu Kai is one…
Also, this girl who participated praised Xu Kai. It's always nice to see Xu Kai get credit because he is so humble Super excellent teacher #XuKai is polite and respectful to all staff https://x.com/xukaidaily7/status/1807063931938361455/photo/1
This post has nothing to do with ABAY but I love this Xu Kai look from 2019, so Hollywood. His English is sexy, too, just like his Cantonese. He never realized how many fans he was accumulating overseas. Notice how he tried to not laugh as he said fans from all over the world, he thought it was a joke, he didn't' believe it himself. His genuine surprise and lack of pretense make him relatable to fans.
In the trailer there is a line that has very poor translation, "I can't guarantee that you are the only one in my life, but I can guarantee that you are the only one in my love."
a user on twitter explained it well: "HanTing can't promise that his entire life revolves exclusively around JX. But he promises that within the part of love, JX holds a singular & exclusive place. In other words, HT may have other aspects in his life, but when it comes to love, JX is the sole focus & priority."

Those two ludicrous, mischievous, foolish maids acting like clowns with their playful yet competitive and devious banters, when Jian LI returned home does have a touch of Shakespeare comedy the way they acted especially with each other. I wonder if this director is a fan of Shakespeare. Shakespeare plays are famous for disguises and mistaken identities, tragedies and sad endings, and even supernatural, uncanny, and eerie.
when XFF visits JYB (JL's father) after XH leaves for war, she tells him:"If [XH] can't make it back, I'll tie…
All you have to know is that he was standing there in defiance with the pendant firmly in his mouth. Only if the pendant is on the ground is it a sad ending. Some say we don't need Ep 40 but the pendant is very meaningful and significant to the heroine. She pawned it to help her husband become a scholar, there was that scene she went to get it back but Duke got of it first, she gave it to him on their wedding night, etc. Does anyone know what other scenes or why is the pendant so significant in this drama? It was given to her by her mother but what does it symbolize?

Chinese dramas are like that. It's so time consuming to watch between having to read the text on the screen and missing their facial expressions, rewatching for it, and taking notes of lines that you know are clues and foreshadowing, and some clues are easily missed because you don't really know the plot, especially in The Double which is full of twists and turns. There are even unspoken subtle clues that if missed can cause you to misunderstand or confused. The Double is so rich that is should be rewatch at least one more time.

Yu Zheng also pointed out like I did, that if you can believe in the beginning that she could defy death from being buried alive, then you can also believe he survived the war.

She never was staring off at the rider (if she did, then it would become ambiguous as possibly hallucination) until the rider approached and she suddenly hear the sound of hoofs, only then did she turned her head, and her face was instant shock or that look of 'Oh!' I'm probably the only person that loves the ending. The director has an artistic flair to create moods. I'm not taking away from the acting either. There has to be synergy between cast, acting, writing, and the director.
Their poses together whether sitting or standing are meticulously executed, gives the feeling that they are custom made for each other, creating a sense of harmony.
Aaaaaaah!! They added a kissing scene when she fed him oranges. Ok but, excitement aside in the novel HT doesn’t…
But he grabbed her for a kiss with the orange slice still dangling from his lips. Isn't it like Han Ting to have an ulterior motive to kiss her? He was planning a kiss not eating orange from her hands. It was not submissive like I'll eat orange from your hands but yeah put that orange in my mouth so I can kiss you back with it. Han Ting is a man always in control of every situation.
I don't think it matters what his profession is. It has no bearing on the plot whether he is an engineer or doctor.
maybe he's dressed up like a doctor but he's not one. Afterall, their products are medical products. I saw a trailer or clip where Han Ting meets the bf.

No one can work more than Ji Xing does. She works 24x7. If bf is a generalist, he has predictable schedule and can decide how many patients he takes and what days he works. Maybe the drama will have a different reason for their breakup?
No. She doesn’t. HT isn’t stupid. He’s a ruthless businessman
How did Zeng Di and HT get together in the first place? I don' understand their relationship. They are in an open relationship and a sexual relationship. It's like she and him know that they will never marry but they are together. He told her that if he gets marry, he has to cut her off, yet she doesn't care and hangs around him, and he's okay with it. Is it just for public image?
