maybe one ending is she sits by the tree, and he never rides back to her (sad ending), then another ending is she sits by the tree, and he rides back to her but doesn't show that he ever reached her (open ended) so they made this extra episode 40.5 to prove he returned to her and chronicles at least 8 yrs. of their life afterwards including having a daughter (happy ending)

I've heard a lot of crap about this producer Yu Zheng how he treats his actors. He only cares about benefit to him and cares nothing about the actor career. He put WXY in Song of Youth in some really minor role, then Delicacies Destiny, I thought WXY did a great job but it's not the kind of drama that will help him get famous, but The Double, Yu Zheng lucked out, he used a new director. Also, WXY had a few really good supporting roles in popular dramas that got him noticed. I think after The Double, he's going to get more opportunities. Hopefully Yu Zheng won't hold him back. He's only 22! He's got a really bright acting future ahead of him.

I peaked at ep 40 and it's not open ending. He's riding to her sitting by a tree.

Yu Zheng is all about making more money! He's good at that.

The red costume fabric blowing or flowing in the wind is the director's style. He has an artistic flair. If Yu Zheng had not used this director, the female lead would not have pretty long flowing hair and costumes - maybe won't be such a bright red, and there wouldn't be appearance of a male God male lead. The director knows how to use simple cost-effective techniques to create mood. I'm really curious why this director who does not need to work decided to work again. He's done other works, but this is really his first real drama and he's already 44 yrs. old. Go Princess Go is a whacky comedy and so low budget, the set sometimes feels homemade.

The reason I feel SYR is the true villain is that he deceives people into thinking he's a good person. He's a snake. The Princess does evil, but she doesn't hide who she is. You know not to mess with her.

So, all the worrying about the episodes is too long and last four will get cut was all for naught because none of that happened and instead, there is even an extra episode. Yu Zheng knows he can get away with it. Will other producers start making their episodes longer too?

I haven't read a single comment here that condemns XFF for seeking justice. No one condones hurting others or killing innocent people. People are just commenting how tragic Wanning's past is, especially the nature of what happened to her is quite disgusting. Most would agree she needs to pay with her life.
