SYR technically committed murder at the beginning of the story. By some miracle, she was able to claw out of her grave. He said Princess "held a gun to his head" so he had to have his wife drugged, raped, assaulted, tied up, and buried alive, left for dead. While he's burying her alive, he says to her "sorry but I have to do this to you because otherwise the Princess will squash us like ants".

The princess story is depressing to me. I don't really enjoy it. I love the actress acting though.

Some scenes are more intense, fast pace, and gripping than others. I like those. that's how I got hooked in the beginning.

I recognized Duke's grandfather immediately even though he looks different here. He played emperor Yongle in Royal Feast. He's a good actor.

I don't think XFF knew about her history of miscarriages. The poison is harmless. She just wants to out her ex and Wanning relationship.

I haven't seen anyone blaming XFF for anything. Where is that? She has a noble character. In these ancient dramas, when someone kills your loved one, you avenge them. This seems to be the norm (but except the writer resurrected her dad and brother so actually she did not lose any loved ones, but they went through hell).

Why did the XFF marry SYR and become part of his awful family?

When Wanning asked SYR to accept their baby and marry her make it legit and official, he could have maybe stopped her from more destruction. It sounded like she was willing to give up everything for him. But he wanted to remain neutral until the power struggle between the emperor and that King is over so he can decide which side he wants to be on. Also, he was smart, he knew she was not pregnant since he suspected foul play. He was always playing both sides for his benefit. He got this far in life by using women. He only pushed her further off the edge of sanity if she wasn't already insane enough. SYR has always known the psycho is capable of and used her. They both used each other and tried to control each other depending on who has the advantage, but the Princess had no idea SYR was pretending, so SYR actually always had the upper hand, just bidding his time with her. She thought she was in control of him but actually he was the one playing her.
