From what I can tell, no one likes Yu Zheng.

I wanted to watch Go Princess Go to see what his directing style is like but I can't find that drama.

I like how the director filmed the scene where she is holding the dead body and then with all her might, her body shakes, she lifts her head and shrieks out in one loud shriek intensely. It all took but a second but so powerful a display, a powerful, concise moment that delivered a strong emotional punch.

I like You Yue. The actress portrayal gave the character so much personality. She is a smart, sensible, and heroic character. Yes, she had a crush on the ml and decided to follow her brother to the martial arts training to be close to the ml but she didn't want to stay home and take over her father's business anyway. She is brave and adventurous. She never took advantage or harm anyone or got between the ml and fl. Even she is upset with her father for his crimes and interference in her personal life, she still loves him and helps him.

It's really weird but only Xu Kai gets comments like yours that oversimply a character creating a negative narrative against the character or the drama. I don't see any kind of comment like this anywhere else on MDL.

Their love is anything but blind to me because both were willing to give up on love for the people; hence the focus of the drama is about this conflict between them. The leads are not blind but noble. Their marriage was a result of unexpected twists and turns in a charade of corruption forcing their hand.

I like the love stories in both ALP and Royal Feast. ALP is a drama that I can rewatch every episode from beginning to end; however, Royal Feast, I only want to rewatch the scenes with Xu Kai in it since I've already watched the drama in its entirety a couple of times. There is something about his portrayal of the crown prince love for the female lead in Royal Feast that is very authentic, emotional and touching in his expressions toward her. Some may not agree because his acting is subtle and nuanced but if you watch his face and body language, it says a lot, at least to me, I can read it.

I love ALP, but I'm also very attracted to the love story in Royal Feast.

Only XK gets these kinds of "dumb" comments.

This is also produced by Yu Zheng. I've watched his Royal Feast and Court Lady and now The Double. The romance in his dramas is subtle but extremely sweet, and hardly a kiss, if any, it's just a peck on the lips. I guess that's his style to show romance through feelings, emotions, interactions, and situations, rather than explicitly. It gives the viewer a lasting and lingering impression of the depth of love of the couple. There will usually be a kiss or a hug along the way. Maybe this drama the kiss will be more intense than other two dramas due to the nature of these two characters and new director. Already the flirting scenes and other scenes are more intense and tantalizing. I think it is due to the new director has a more creative carefree style than the more conservative style of Yu Zheng's other director from his past dramas.
