I don't feel ML doing anything wrong. He has never lied to her, cheated on her, made her do anything illegal or immoral, nor forced her to do anything against her will, or blackmail her, nor threatened her, nor coerce her in any way.
ML offered her an assignment and it was up to her to accept it or not, sure he offered her the job or promotion to use her connections but that is not a crime nor unethical when she knew what she was getting into. The boss or ML doesn't have to tell her what he's up to. Yes. ml is ruthless but you have to be ruthless to get ahead.

Her family knows her personality and her heart. That's why they always forgive her for speaking so bluntly to them. What comes out of her mouth does not always reflect what is truly in her heart. What matters most is that her husband and children understand her and love her.

plus grandma thinks the world of her, so much that he hinted to his grandma she is partial to her, but she said, I like you both

when MCH told XJL that his family got her brother a job at the law firm, XJL said "great". XJL doesn't realized how far apart his values are from MCH.

I really like the YZM lines. When she exposes him, I thought to myself, oh no, she got you, but then he comes back with a response that is so logical and frees him of fault and she can only blame herself again. YZM is not corrupt in his dealings, but he is ruthless, but he never lied to her, never asked her to do anything illegal or immoral. All he did was offer a job because she had connections and she accepted it. He is not obligated to tell her what he's up to.

YZM always wins the argument with MCH. He's just slicker than her because he detaches himself from emotions. I really enjoy the serious interactions between ml and fl, like at end of ep. 9.

she's a property manager. she's too gung ho. YZM gave her advice again that the key to good customer service is by knowing what the most urgent (important and pressing matter) that needs to be resolved for the customer, not do every little thing for them, and become a housekeeper spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere.

My observation is that ML subconsciously helping the FL while taking advantage of her too. The ML is really a positive influence on the FL whether it was his intention or not. Surprisingly, her character development is due to her experiences with him, and not her family, because the drama started off with a perfect daughter, perfect sister, perfect friend, perfect step granddaughter, etc. so I don't expect she needs to improve in the family / friend category, nor does she need to improve her impeccable personality and integrity, so what kind of growth will she have?

You really need to watch up to ep. 10 where the drama pivots more to the fl and ml dynamics before deciding if the drama is worth continuing.

it's harder to figure out ML than the FL because don't' know much about the ML.

because the ml and fl are smart, capable, ambitious, competitive, etc. unlike the bf so it's more interesting dynamics than just empty puppy love

this relationship is quite interesting

it does seem like he cares about her by giving her advice based on his experience, but grandma told YZM that his methods are not always right.

i think grandma is saying that she's' going to give all her wealth to MCH and then YZM will suffer if he keeps bullying her

there are exceptions in life
the parents did say she was the apple of their eye
the fl did admit to the brother than their parents favored her

I think Yang Xinyu is the girl that her mother Zhang is marrying off to YZM?

must be foreshadowing in ep 9 that the hotel becomes hers when she says, "maybe I'll even become a boss in the future." (YZM's boss?)
