Its okay bro, not a big deal to say sorry for. A trope is basically a common theme that exists in different dramas. In this case the trope is romance between (fake) siblings. Some people do not like such tropes and hence rate it badly.

Short Answer: No. She plays as the mom of ML and wife of Yeolguk and theres no love between the couple nor does she have a lover

It felt a little weird tbh at the start considering yk, but I personally enjoyed the overall plot and felt like the romance got better after she found out hes not her brother. Tbh its personally upto you. But I still recommend it, its overall a great drama.

Just what is wrong with the secondary characters!!?? Psychopath SFL and her obsessed brother, backstabbing friend of ML for liking the psychopath and helping her cover her crimes, Amateur, childish and cringe SML, a really annoying and jealous sister, an unlikable rival of ML and Ive only watched 26 episodes till now. Also just what is wrong with ML, so many schemes and he still cant figure out who did it and kicking out all the wrong people. The only saving grace was the chemistry between the leads and a normal Chu Ting. But now I Cant continue any more.

Really like the first 5 episodes. I'm so glad that they "showed" the grudge between the leads from the get go, rather than just "telling" us or in the midway of the drama. This makes the interactions between the leads so believable and we actually get to know the stakes behind them.
I haven't read the novel but I really hope for the tone and tension to continue throughout the drama rather than a stupid love triangle/square trope.
It's so refreshing to get a dark war/political intrigue themed drama rather than the numerous same traditional historical cdramas.
So far an easy 9+ from me.

Am I trippin or what?? If you squint your eyes, the ML kinda looks like Vincenzo Cassano. Plus the vibe of the first scene kinda suits it too

Its so generic I can almost predict the rest of the drama, I may be wrong.
1. ML starts liking FL due to her bold nature.
2. FL makes friends with Yin Shu Jun and may other FLs, and starts her own business, likely a cloth store or jewelry store to be "independent" by seeking help from both SML and doormat ML.
3. She starts regaining faint memories and thinks ML (or SML) may be from her dreams.
4. ML gets jealous regardless, and is investigating the case.
5. FL helps ML in solving the case.
6. Ofcourse FL being so smart, she makes her business prosper, ML and SML gets touched by her determination
7. The culprit behind the murders is related to SML's family or YSJ's boyfriend (royal family).
8. ML is getting restless and plans to tell FL about the truth and his feelings OR FL recovers her memories while investigating with ML and SML.
9. SML gets paired with another SFL (ofcourse another SFL is interested in SML) after getting rejected from FL.
10. ML and FL get together, happily ever after.
11. The end

Yeah true that, especially after seeing the recent increase in stories with doormat MLs.

First 1.5 episodes were good, but it went a downhill the next 3.5 episodes. Nothing really bad but nothing good either, just felt like a generic boring story and annoying love triangle forming. Will give it a shot for few more episodes, but if the love triangle continues and I think it will, might as well drop

The weird bgm music is ruining the show for me. Just a normal dialogue between leads and the bgm goes haywire for no reason, like wth??

There's far too many dramas that have disappointed me in the recent 1-2 years, so Ive decided to be pessimistic and set my bar low if I see an overused trope. Everybody has different opinions regarding a drama, I honestly liked the slow/slice of life kinda vibes going for Love Next Door, atleast for the first 8-10 eps, plus the acting was also great, hence a 8.5.
