I guess I'm in the minority here, my favorite character is Cha Gang Jae. I actually don't like the dad at all. At the beginning I felt bad for him, but now I just don't like him. ChaGang Jae has his flaws, but I don't see him as a bad person, he never really meant to be mean, he's misunderstood a lot, and well, a little too blunt and not considerate enough. But at least he knows who he is and what he wants from his life, way better than the lost Cha Dal Bong
So happy you wrote this article on Bad Guys, I'm currently in love with this show! it's the first one in a while that I'm looking forward to each episode. There is a high possibly that it will be the best drama of 2014 for me
ok so this is a shot in the dark! I'm currently on ep 19 of Jumong and was wondering if there is anyone else who's currently watching it and would like to discuss the drama together? Jumong is long, and since it's not airing nor has flower boys, it's not that popular in MDL. Not to mention it's not on Viki, so there is no place for me to see how others felt about it, I mean not as a whole but for each episode, or each character ... and hence the reason why I want to find someone else who's currently watching it :D Thanks
u know this drama is going down when u stop caring about the relationship and the storyline of Rain and Krystal and start caring about the storyline of L ... not even his romance with Krystal, but rather how he's gonna come back as an artist ...
Okay….is that supposed to be a main lead? I donna about the manga/anime/j version since it never attracted me.…
That's how her character is in the manga. To be honest, I think the kdrama has toned it down a little, in the actual manga she was even more absurd! :D I had problem getting use to her as well when reading the manga, since I'm a little too srs, BUT if u open up/warm up to her, u will enjoy her character and her quirkiness.
I guess it would be best not to see her as retarded/dork but see her as someone who views the world in a very unique way. Her main source of energy is her emotions, she acts solely on her emotions, regardless of the side effects they can have. That brings her a lot freedom and enables her to be uniquely creative, but from an outsider point of view it can be seen as senseless and illogical. Don't give up yet, the more you learn about her, the more you see order in her and in what seems to be disordered character.
first episode is almost scene-for-scene, even shot-for-shot, but without the slapstick of the japanese version.…
I guess, if you want to go back to the "original", u should compare it to the manga! Obviously both K and J version will look the same, cause they both took the scene by scene from the MANGA!
Well, I've seen him in Secret Love (2013) and Shining inheritance, but never thought of him as handsome, that is till I started watching Jumong (I'm on ep 9 right now) and for the first time I'm seeing him as handsome !
I don't know how to feel about this right now ... the writers have created such an evil character out of the dad that it would be hard not to f*ck it up, you know sometimes you shouldn't go to extremes since it will be much harder to control an extrema, u can easily create a chaos !
now a spoiler about city hunter .... I warned u ...
I mean srsly the dad is so evil/crooked/messed up that it's as if he's competing with Lee Jin Pyo... like srsly ...
OMG!! I'm loving this drama soooooo much. The part that they go to the abandoned theme park ... I couldn't stop drawing similarities between the place and Lee Hyun Wook's heart. It almost seemed like he was walking inside of himself, the frozen part of himself, the part that he was grieving for the last 3 years. And let me quote him on something beautiful that he said : "someone's memory becomes a song, and that song becomes someone else's memory." I'm so surprised as how good the writing is!! I hope it will keep up, fingers crossed!!
I've only watched OldBoy, but I can say I'm a big fan of his. After reading your article I feel like I have to hurry up and watch his other works to be ready for his next movie :D yayyyy :D
Well, I'm in the minority here. I really enjoyed watching the first two episodes. I'm not saying it was a masterpiece or whatever, but it was very different and a nice change. I really like Song Se Dong's character - specially the fact that she's not some crazy, clueless, poor girl which is normally the case with kdramas- Joo Hong Bin's character was a little over the top for me, specially in the first episode, but then I started to understand him better ... the fact that he doesn't know about his ability, the anger that he's holding inside, the loss that he has suffered, and the hope for tomorrow that he has ... I really like how the first 2 episodes unfolded, I hope the writers keep this up!! fighting !!!
Wow, I'm just surprised at how snobbish some of the fans of the J version are ... I mean really ... come down of ur high horses, it's not like Japan is the only country that can make good dramas ...
That being said, I'm a fan of the manga, and I feel stories like Liar Game are the ones that once u know what'll happen they lose their charm. Even when watching the J version, I didn't enjoy it as much as the manga, and I don't really know if it'll be any diff for the k version.
well, I don't care what the situation was, I don't care if it was once or continuous, and I don't care that he's a celebrity ... what he did was a crime, and he better pay for it.
That being said, who he is as a person doesn't have an effect on how I see him as an actor/singer. The same as how I expect ppl at my work to judge me based on my work not on my personal life.
