i'm still thinking about the bridge scene 🥺 it was beautifully portrayed. it depicted about how flowers will bloom when one thought of the happiest moments in their lives, as shi ying explained, and how these flowers will form the bridge connecting to the outside world. zhu yan grew up in a loving environment and it only took her a short while to think of the moments that made her happy, even if they're mostly shallow. meanwhile shi ying grew up from seclusion and suffered injustice, so he couldn't immediately think of a happy moment. initially it was with his mother, but he didn't continue because he'd actually get sad to remember she had already died.
these two are so different from each other, and despite that, what touched me the most is when zhu yan mentioned about meeting shi ying, as the grand priest, for the first time. unknowingly to them, it was a happy moment for them both so i think that was why the flowers bloomed, or rather, exploded. ahhhh i'm loving their relationship sm
done w/ eps 7&8 and can i just say i've been loving the dynamic between shi ying and zhu yan even more? their relationship has been developing well albeit the misunderstandings that still occur in between (altho i know it'll get worse as the eps progress)
have to admit i had low expectations for this drama back then but im surprised rn because ive been enjoying this way way more.. if you still have doubts on watching, you should definitely give it a try :) don't based on the current ratings, it doesn't do the drama justice tbh
done with eps 5 and 6. the current pacing is seamless i like it.. there's also a lot of things happening at once which is good, it has me hooked. the buildup is great and my liking for zhu yan increased. idk how some ppl find her annoying 😅 after all she's just a naive child, give her some time
finally done with the first 4 eps. it had a really interesting start, didn't get bored at all. also i didnt expect to like zhu yan this much.. hopefully it stays that way
maybe you meant the script wasn't your type? because objectively speaking, it's almost flawless
Hmmm I don't see it that way tbh but I respect your opinion.. also XCS has flaws. TXM, too. They're not perfect. Maybe you're confusing someone being kind = perfect when that's not the case.
