There’s been so many rumors, that it’ll be funny if some actor we haven’t heard from shows up as the male lead on the dramas opening.

Oh.. I’m so excited for all the changes. In the novel, she didn’t even know martial arts, her character kinda just there, good hearted, but little substance. The director is really good, so as long as the writer is solid, this drama will be so fun to watch.

She was trending on Weibo for a CP with Song Zuer when Prisoner of Beauty was airing. She’s just very boyishly pretty.

The audacity with commenters criticizing an actress for portraying a character with multiple layers while idolizing an actor whose character is pretty much stoic. This is coming from someone who really likes the main actor, but the double standards when talking about the lead performances definitely comes off as misogynistic. Also, if people want shows to be realistic, they need to focus on that genre. Don’t watch an idol period drama and then be shocked that things are out of the ordinary.

Yeah they’ve been able to keep the core of the novel in a drama that is super fast paced.

It cracks me up thinking that characters in period dramas always have to pack a stealth outfit every time they travel in case they gotta go spy or kill people.

The novel describes her personality as that. Is it realistic, probably not, but it’s one aspect of the book that they kept.

This looks like a lunar new year type of drama, so either end of the year or early next year release date makes sense.

Alright… I can see why they did that. But internally I’m not happy about it.

Does Shen Moxue exist in the drama? Her character was kinda interesting, in another universe, she and Xiao Jue could have been a couple.

Took them 9 episodes but they finally figured out how to end an episode on a cliffhanger.

Just hope she gets to work with great directors/writers. Yi Ou Chun and Red Dance Shoes are good choices, hopefully they both will help her establish herself as a solid actress.
