i guess, but if there wasn't a forced villain and the characters had to talk about their feelings i wonder if anyone would've cared
i want bls with personal conflict, not one where you root for the couple because the alternative is bad

either way i don't think this can be worse than br when br has the fucked up and completely stupid final episodes

i hate when bl plots are stretched out due to a lack of communication

like, why doesn't korn just discuss his feelings of being neglected? why don't they ever sit down and talk? i it's anything like the last two series, they'll bottle it all up until an arbitrary villain is revealed and defeated and then everything is magically forgiven

how are we suppose to root for a couple that doesn't act like one?

i don't know how br is much worse than tow when they both have:

- contrived, forced villains that create massive tonal shifts towards the end (wtf is br's last episode)

- really unfunny humor for the most part, with people only hating br more for its sfx which is pretty common in dramas

-padding all over

-characters unwilling to talk what's on their mind so conflicts get dragged on and on (love by chance is like the only exception i've ever seen to this)


tow has much better production quality i guess, but tow felt more or less the same in tone and humor but with a bigger emphasis on the gay characters

i think most people need to learn that bls are pretty shitty overall for the most part, with only a small fraction of them being worth it for the plot or characters and not just for the cute or sexy moments you can find clips of online
if the writers haven't made the couple interesting or believable after two series, i don't think they have the ability to make them interesting here

series going back to the old "we're dating but one of the two looks uninterested in the relationship while the other doesn't want to talk about their feelings" trope that hurt both previous series

"don't like it, don't watch it" is one of the worst responses to deflect bad criticism

like holy hell it's the internet and we're on a drama website about discussing drama and people are going to talk about things they don't like, especially on the first impression of the show

do people find the fangirls of bad romance disturbing? all the flamboyant gays that lust over the main characters in every other bl and exist as nothing but joke characters?

compared to a lot of characters i've seen, i don't see how they're disturbing

The thing wih Bad Romance is that the premise of the fight is stupid. "I'm not dating this person but I'm just gonna mess with your head to test you" is really dumb and is dragged on for way too long. The final few episodes are absolutely ridiculous and the forced villain is absolutely unnecessary. It's lame that it took an absurd situation to make the two make up.

Fan girls seem fine. No worse than the typical perverted gay sidecharacters in BL that always hit on everyone or the random evil girlfriends. Not like they're doing anything particularly weird, but maybe fangirl culture is something thee west isn't familiar with.

Skipping through stuff is kind of what you have to do when watching bls. I often skip 10-20s every two minutes due to lengthy silent stare scenes, cringe comedy, flashback padding, or general absurdity (the entirety of the second half of Bad Romance).

BL can be fun but there are only like two examples I can think of where a BL has good production values and good writing. It's a genre most people see for love scenes or cute scenes, not for watching a story of any substance.

i wonder if they'll change that one scene nobody likes with the kidnapping or the ending of the novel

i don't know any adaptions that significantly change scenes though

the way the novel ending is an example of typical kr/ch melodrama for the growth of a character

i hope they change it

i'll be disappointed if it ends the way of the novel

I think Addicted is better from a writing standpoint, but honestly if it was continued i wouldn't have liked it if it took the same route as the novel.

This is good, but I don't think it's as good. If it has a satisfying conclusion it could be.

I guess people didn't like the lack of progression, especially with the tease with Tin that may or may not mean absolutely nothing.

I thought the episode was fine even if it felt like a regurgitation of what we've already seen. The scene with the mom and all was nice but the rest was mostly forgettable.

To be fair, initially I had a lot of issues with this show but it went against my expectations and fixed most of them.

I still think the fact that the other couples are still completely halfbaked this late in the series is still a problem, but other than that I have no real issues with it.

Was great even if I feel like the time between the climax and conclusion was a bit too short.
A happy ending is so rare in these type of dramas that i was so pleased to see one. Melodrama always feels like an awful, awful plot device. Had cute moments and was enjoyable overall.

Happy endings are so extremely powerful that I don't understand Asia's fascination with depressing endings. Worth the purchase.

Yeah, "substance" is something a lot of BLs tend to lack. I think Can is pretty annoying as well.

Most BLs tend to only ever focus on one couple and then randomly shove in two or three halfway in the series, so who knows if the rest will ever get any development.
The stepbrothers thing feels completely random and is pretty disconnected from absolutely everything else.

with all the lgbt stuff on this site that have random depressing endings out of nowhere, i'm perfectly content with sappy endings as long as they make me feel good and aren't completely forced

It's still enjoyable but it just has the typical flaws that weigh down BLs. Some cringe comedy, wishywashy protagonist (so far), etc. It's still better than most BLs and I hope it gets better when the plot picks up.
