I am on ep 16 and so far this drama is really good. There is just one thing which is kinda puzzling considering the historic time this story takes place: they are making such a fuss of the FLs work as an merchant and so on but no-one bats an eye when an unmarried young woman spends so much time with an unmarried young man?! It is really inconsistent.
I will say good bye to this comment section. So far the users have been really supportive and sweet but since Lovely Runner is turning more and more to the biggest hit of 2024 I think it is better to stay away from online community. LR with its incredible sizzling chemistry between the leads and all those heart fluttering scenes has such a healing effect on my own heart that I am afraid online negativity will just spoil this impact. So I will enjoy this gem on my own. Thanks so far for all those heartwarming comments, hope LR will stay at the top with its current rating♥️
Right now I am at episode 13 and I am really disappointed about the reunion of the little brother with his wife. Somehow I expected more after his character growth but their meeting was a bit underwhelming...
Finally completed. Seldom I've seen a drama with so much next to nothing plot. In 16 eps almost nothing happens apart from talking talking and talking... Also some kind of achievement.
Only found it through the rec list at the site of QOT. The chemistry between the leads is perfect and the OST beautiful. The ML actor is btw such a hottie. Really charming.
I couldn't stand the ML at the beginning but I guess this was intended. At the end he redeemed himself though. Also the side story between the FL and her mother teared me up, be ready to have some tissues. The crying scenes of the FL actress are so well done, really made me emotional.
I highly recommend this for mature viewers who can relate to the hardships in a longterm relationship and the tough life as an working adult.
Handsome fella ♥️. Whenever he smiles as Sun Jae I just die a little bit. Wish I could also put him on my back and run away but he is already Sol's man 🥲
I am also glad for her. And tbh I don't see any problems to hear about such information. No-one is getting hurt. It makes the actors, especially those who have only support roles and are not that well known, more famous. Sometimes after such news I click on their bio, scroll through their other dramas and find even another gem.
Oh my so many good actors who produced so many great taiwanese dramas I watched in my childhood! Miss those times when taiwanese dramas were always so much better than dramas from other countries 😭
Is this really worth watching?(Critical opinion without bias pls)Not really liking the written plot (not that…
I am neither a fan of both leads nor I've watched any work from both before. So I was quite unbiased when I started this drama.
So far I think the hype of this drama is deserved. The strength is clearly the acting of the ML and FL. Both were born for this role- they deliver any tiny facial expression. You can clearly sense that both put their whole life into their roles. The chemistry is unbelievable.
The plot? Is neither average nor something completely new since time travel stories are a widespread genre in these times like in "marry my husband". But in my opinion a good drama doesn't need an overcomplex plot to be successful, the adaption is crucial. "Mr Sunshine" is like a very high budgeted drama with a complex plot and outstanding visuals - but it was a real snoozefest for me.
If you are a fan of great acting, first love, sizzling chemistry between leads, someone who cares about all those tiny moments when love slowly blooms between two human beings or you crave for emotional scenes which can either tear you heart or melt it, then this drama is for you.
And btw ratings like records are there to be broken. In the future another drama will get even a higher rating.

Compared to that LR is more light hearted and bit easier to digest. Although both are romantic dramas they are hardly comparable.

3. When he is visiting her in the video store and she falls asleep on his arm. Awww! This scene was cute and hilarious on the same time lol
