I was a bit nervous starting this drama. Thought it was once again an overhyped kdrama with stars who have a huge fanbase. I mean there are just 4 eps and it has already a higher rating than QOT with its star studded cast. Neither I know the main actress nor the main actors.

So far I must say this is a really beautiful drama. The plot might sound a bit simple but the adaption is wonderful. I am impressed by the main leads. Both are great actors who can deliver so many tiny facial expressions. It is always a delight to study their faces when both interact with each other. The shy gazes, the unshed tears, the hidden smile, the joyful laugh... it is like finding easter eggs. My favorite scenes I'll put in the spoiler tag.

It is a great mix between drama, first love, comedy and tragedy. There were many scenes where tears were rolling down my cheeks and just seconds later I was laughing about the shenanigans of the FL. The OST is btw so catchy. My only worry is that the drama doesn't have enough story for 16 eps like it is the usual case for many KDramas. Hope it won't get draggy or loaded with unnecessary drama. Would be a big disappointment since so far the whole cast delivers. Monday will be my new favourite day for sure!

I respect your opnion but this is just a preference I guess. 23 years old might be an adult but I remember when I was like that. Almost like a teenager. I don't feel comfortable to see young women paired up with much elder men. To each their own.

I hope Kim Hyang Gi is not the love interest. Way too young. Pls pair Junho with someone who has a similar age.

People who think 6.8 is a bad rating are a clear hint that most dramas on MDL are grossly overrated.

From objective point of view 6.8/10 means the drama is average or almost good. Anything under 5 would be considered as bad. People should stop overrating Korean dramas.

I am neither a fan of Klm Soo Hyn nor of Kim Ji Won, in fact I didn't like their previous dramas which I have watched so far. But this one is good, mainly because of the acting. Sure the plot is not something new but I don't think a story has to be really complex to be successful. Like mr sunshine was in terms of cinematography and story way above QOT but I didn't like it at all because it was too loaded.

So far I would rate QOT with 8.5.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Really like reading your straightforward comments. I also don't think LJS is attractive- way too many obvious plastic surgeries. I wonder why he has such a big fanbase. Though his was face was really distracting at the beginning, his acting is actually decent. My problem is more the acting of the FL, never saw her in any dramas before, so I had no expectations. But it is awful... Hope I can complete this drama.

Really struggling with this drama since weeks. I want to continue mainly because of the thriller part but the acting of the FL is horrendous. Can't believe so many people are praising her- her facial expression doesn't change at all and it always seems like she is smiling, even in sad scenes. Can't take her serious. Wish they would have chosen another actress.

Maybe I will watch with higher speed since I want to know the ending.

This sounds weird but there is one thing I really like about this cast: the real age of the ML, FL and the 2ML suits their character.

I can't stand it if sometimes the cast is too young but the producers want us to believe that some 20-somethings are CEOs of big companies or when they force actors trying to be cute. Really tired of seeing adult women making pouty lips or speaking with childish voice even if the drama is declared as a romcom. So therefore I really appreciate that all of them actually look and act like grown ups who are in their 30s and not like teenagers or students.

Or that piggyback when the FL is passed out drunk 😭

His girlfriend is thinking that he will die after a couple of months while being in coma. But I actually think that he will suddenly wake up in the last episode, accusing her of betrayal, taking back the rights of the company. But he will die for sure, maybe after abandoning her.

I mean how does the girlfriend know that there is no tiny chance that he will recover?

I have one theory regarding the grandfather after ep 8

I binge watched all 8 eps and now feedback from someone who saw all released episodes in one piece:

The majority of the time I was thinking that the ML and FL were carrying this show. At the beginning I was really annoyed because of the family: they just seemed like another stupid rich conglomerate family, no character stood out. But now after ep 8 they are slowly leaving impression. Especially the little brother (what a heart breaking scene with the cycle) and the crazy aunt. I am genuinely looking forward to see their stories in the upcoming episodes and not only for the main couple.

I wanted to wait till the drama is completed but I had to give in to my curiosity. I thought that Kim Ji Won's acting was mediocre in My Liberation Notes and I didn't like her there. But I must admit after ep 2 that her performance in this drama is so far the most impressive! Excellent acting.

Unpopular opnion: the hate towards the FL shows once again the bias against female actresses on MDL. There are tons of idol actors out there who look ravishing but can't act at all but many MDL users will still worship them and their crappy acting.

Yes the acting of the FL is not convincing since she is quite inexperienced, the bad rating is deserved and it is ok to criticise but the whole production is bad. This is not a one man show. There is no legitimate reason to harass and bully the actress and insult her personally. It is honestly embarrassing how immature users are attacking her and flooding her personal page on MDL with hateful comments.

Bullying is a worldwide problem, yes, but the one in South Korea is really severe. It takes not only place at school, but also at work, in families etc. Grown ups will be shouted, slapped,harassed... I have never seeen anything like that in my home country.
