I honestly can't take South Korea serious with their obsession with drugs. On the one hand they condemn people who even take light drugs like marijuana and on the other hand they consume so much alcohol, in every drama you'll see people who are passed out drunk and are considered actually as alcoholics , but they always belittle the negative impact of alcohol consumption on health and society. Sometimes I wonder if this is just the soju industry who is behind their weird drug politics.
50 ep?! I know I should stay from it since almost all Kdramas already have pace problems with 16 eps. But the poster with its 80s/90s vibes looks soo cute and pretty. I already see myself starting the play button, helpðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Finally completed. I expected some cheap hidden advertisement for plastic surgery since they are widely spread and accepted among South Koreans.
But it was actually a quite good drama about self esteem, being honest with yourself and beauty standards in our society. The pace was really well done, usually I am bored around ep 8 till 12 since 16 eps are way too much for the most Kdramas (like I had to give up on true beauty which started strong but got really boring). But this was not the case with this one.
The FL portrayed her character really well. Though she was quite insecure I really liked it that she could speak up for herself and needed seldom a saviour in shining amor. The ML also did a good job though being so young. The 2FL was amazing, she was a convincing antagonist.
In conclusion a well done drama. People who had a similar past like the FL will understand her ìnner struggle really well. Don't let yourself get impacted because of the low rating, MDL rating is not reliable. Make your own opinion.

Yes she is super insecure and shy but this is her character. I've never seern a drama with her before but I think she does a good job. It is a bit uncomfortable to watch but not because the drama is bad - more because it reminded me of my own low self confidence when I was still student and not confident with my outer appearance. It really revokes bad memories.
This show can be really tiggering, especially if you are suffering from body dysmorphia. So be cautious while watching.
