DISCLAIMER/ This is just my opinion so the anime/manga fans, please, allow me not to like this and here is why!So…
You havent watched anything, right? Because the reason she doesnt change is: she isnt bothered by being called Sadako. So why should she change who she is? Disliking something without knowing it is funny. She wants to be useful for others, because her name "Sawako" means something like "pleasant child". She's even sorry for not being able to summon spirits and seeing ghosts. π
for me, it totally depends on the setting! like who is cheating on whom and why. i dodged everything toxic in the past, but japanese dramas brought me back the rabbithole and now i am craving all the fcked up sht :D
i dont watch drama for realistic purpose, lol. :D maybe you should put your comments with spoilers into the spoiler tag :D and whats the kdrama called?
i like japanese dramas because they are so off. its just great (yeah, im a sucker for toxicity.. x))
i think it shows that infidelity isnt the only problem a relationship can have. someone not cheating doesnt make a good partner automatically. i liked love and fortune a lot, although ive only rated it with a 7. :D but kuzu no honkai, damn. this drama frustrated the shit outta me. xd i was so heartbroken when he dumped her for the teacher u.u but since kuzu no honkai i am all whipped for sakurada dori. x)
Ah, youre talking about the current boyfriend, got ya! i was confused, because i didnt find him cute at all. he only cherished her when he was about to lose her, otherwise he was very comfortable with doing nothing for her. :D
Wait xdd i dont get it. Do you talk about kuzu no honkai or love and fortune? Because in love and fortune the dude who asked her to marry him was the cheating boyfriend from her past.
He was a director, not a teacher and i dont remember that he was arrested, but it went viral on the news, yes. Who are you talking about when mentioning the second boyfriend? Do you mean the actually prior boyfriend who cheated on her earlier?
Aa far as i know (its also a theme in "Love and Fortune") teachers are indeed not allowed to have sex with their students. π But in germany there is this saying "No plaintiff, no judge". Sooo..
It is. Been a while since i watched the show and while i was first kinda broken, that they didnt end up together, i was seriously pissed when ive read that in the manga sequel, he actually "asks" for a second chance π because i let the drama ending sunk in and felt like it was the right decision, and then i saw the manga sequel and i was like "no, no, no! I dont want this!" π
Exactly my thoughts! I found the last two episodes especially frustrating. The rest was pretty good imho. But oh my, how they fcked up a show in two episodes is really impressive. It didnt even make sense that they are so awkward with each other, because when they went to school, they were totally comfortable with skinship and touching e/o lol, Tae Hyun even had his head under Da Yeols shirt, so whats the nonsense in the last episode T_T
I loved the anime back in the days and the drama made me laugh all the time. π it was so nostalgic and funny! I love the japanese overacting and the silly effects. Although i get it, that its probably too much for people who dont know the anime, i am absolutely whipped for this drama. π
Man, Otomo is so closed off emotionally. I disliked him immensely. He and Imagase are toxic together and thereβs…
i kindly disagree. remember that imagase said "to love someone truly is for them to become your only exception"? you can clearly see a change in kyoichis character over the movie. of course their relationship is unhealthy, but sometimes relationships are unhealthy and life is fucked up, the tags dont hide this, but you can see that he never cheated on imagase. you can see the little details where imagase is the only exception to kyoichi. i also dont think he ended up alone. i think, like the times before, imagase will always end up coming back to him. kyoichi didnt break his word, when he said he will leave okamura. although he could easily stay with her, because imagase already left. but he broke up with her and waited for imagase, just like he said he would, because he wants to make things right.
yeah, his character is toxic. cheating is shit. but its a fictional drama and the little details are nice to see. just like the ugly blue curtains disappearing or how he couldnt stand okamura sitting on the chair, where imagase always sit, or that he never changed his phone pin or got upset when imagase read the messages while they were together (he got upset before their relationship, but not when they were a couple, showing that he doesnt have to hide something, but can understand why imagase doesnt trust him) at the end kyoichi didnt lie to imagase in their relationship, but he understood that the trust is damaged because of his previous lies and behaviour.
i think its hard to approach a movie like this if you have this strictly black/white, right/wrong thinking.
i'm 40 minutes in and i feel like they want us to like a character that we usually hate in other movies xd like the persistant, annoying second female lead? awful. :D while i found her quite funny in the beginning, its something that gets old and annoying really fast.
you know something went wrong, when the most likeable character is Kaname and the most entertaining scenes are the one with him in the saune, lol. even mizuki was more interesting to watch then the main couple. i paused at episode 7 and got back to it now, to finish it, but i am struggling again to just get through, even though the episodes are so short and i am definitely able to watch other jbls way faster x)

I havent watched the one you mentioned.
