counter point: you can understand a character just fine and still not enjoy them.
i think Sea is doing a fantastic job as In and i understand why In does the things he does but i still don't particularly enjoy the character and thats fine

i enjoyed the first episode i think the concept is really fun and i'm both intrigued and suspicious of pretty much all the characters which is exactly what i want in this kind of series, i think Gem is doing a great job in his first solo lead and Prim always slays her roles.

i have to say out of all the actors Aungpao stands out the most but not in a good way, even compared to the more rookie actors Teshow and Myme theres just something super awkward about his acting and facial expressions that i honestly just find a bit distracting.

this was extremely good, the production was absolutely fantastic and the acting was so good, i'd say Mint was the weakest but honestly thats to be expected from a new actor and she still managed to hold her own super well against all the other more seasoned actors so kudos to her, i loved season one but i think season 2 had it beat in almost all regards for me and i absolutely adore Win and Toeys chemistry.
that said i wasn't 100% sold on the ending but even still i hope we get another season i need more Ajin in my life.

this series is about a uni student who has a generational curse on his bloodline seeking help from a powerful shaman which is to say nothing about it is realistic so why try and add some realism with something as terrible as domestic violence? it isn't the time or place for something like that

the fact that the DV subplot wasn't in the book and that they chose to add it only to minimalise the harm it causes have the beaten women forgive her husband and have pretty much all the characters say it isn't their business and to ignore it is fucking disgusting, i have no idea what the writers where thinking adding that in as it added nothing to the plot and only served to make Jet look like a piece of shit (even though the Jet from the book would have never said something like that)

actually P10L was 24 episodes so this has it beat for how long it'll air lol

can't believe its only 1 episode a week it really should be 2, still i'm happy its just finally coming out i'v been super excited for some of these stories

i just want everyone to know that you can't say BounPrem deserves better when it comes to the writing of this series because Boun is the one who wrote the script, if its bad its directly on him LMAO
that said i am looking forward to seeing my man Kay being a (hopefully) over the top campy villain in this

its on Q10 and should finish filming in the next couple of days i believe

well my final thoughts for this series is its just not good, while i feel bad for Mark (and the rest of the cast) that this series flopped i'm not going to lie out of some misplaced sense of guilt and say "well actually the series was really good and everyone should give it a try" because its not.
i'll split my opinion into 2 sections, first ep1-7: there was very little plot in these episodes and the characters where extremely one dimensional but they where actually my favourite part of the series it almost felt more like a fluffy gay sketch show then it did a real BL but the almost absurdist quality to the humour made it a fun watch for me, it was a nice end to the week.

ep8-11: they finally remembered that a series is meant to actually have a storyline and character development and added it all in here, i won't talk about ep8 because i'v already commented about it, ep9-10 where actually pretty well written but i found it hard to enjoy them because they seemed so out of place with the rest of the series and i was so annoyed that its only at the end that they decided to add plot, ep11 was....honestly i don't know what to say about the final i understand they had to reedit the last few episodes but it was mostly a confusing mess of somewhat cute scenes awkwardly stitched together with a badly implemented time skip, an underwhelming end to an underwhelming series.
honestly this is a great example of a show that could have and should have been 6 episodes maxed stretched out into 12 (that turned into 11) to fit GMMTVs arbitrary 12ep formula for BLs, i really hope if/when Mark and Ohm get a new lead series they are given something more dramatic because while i think they are both funny irl i think they are both dramatic actors then they are comedic

i mean they are 17/18yo highschoolers in puppy love, them having very little conflict except a somewhat overbearing mother interfering seems extremely realistic to me lol

well other people might have abandoned him but i'm still fully on team Willy sure hes not a good person (though that has been obvious from episode 1 so idk why people are confused lol) but at least he's actually interesting unlike most of the "good" characters in this series and Milk is killing it in this role.
and lets remember people this show is fiction not reality liking characters that do bad things does not mean you support those bad things being done in real life

so the writers did actually have the ability to write an interesting plot and 3 dimensional characters with interesting backstories and motivations and just decided....not to? for the first 9 episodes.

was this episode good? yes fair better then any that had come before it, did Mark and Jimmy act their asses off and do amazing? yes they finally got to actually show they have talent, how ever it was so tonally and story wise disconnected from the rest of the show that i felt nothing but confusion (and low key mild anger that we didn't get this level of writing for the rest of the season)

since there are so many comments praising Pond for his role in this series (which don't get me wrong he fully deserves he's doing amazing) i want to talk about Dew for a second, imo Night is the second most complicated character in this series after Ozone and probably the second hardest to act but Dew has been absolutely killing it in this role i think its all to easy for actors to take more reserved closed of characters like night and play them very woodenly but Dew has given so much life to Night with his micro expressions and his big shows of emotions like the break down in the hospital last episode was absolutely beautiful to watch.

honestly shout out to all the F3 boys who knew all it took for them to move from the "average but forgettable" actor category to the "i can genuinely praise their talents and look forward to their new roles" category with a single lead role in a darker more intense drama, Win with enigma, Nani with high school frenemy, and now Dew with leap day.

obviously the loan sharks are the actual villains and its not like i think Keen is evil i literally said in my comment i sympathise with his situation but news flash! your life being shit doesn't give you the right to mess with other peoples lives, there are so many things he could have done to start earning money but he didn't, his first thought was making someone else do the hard work in something they didn't even agree to or want to do while he reaped the benefits.
just because you don't agree with it doesn't make my opinion wrong bro, thats why its an opinion and not a fact

decided to watch this show for the Muay Thai, will stick with this show (for now) for the Muay Thai, there are interesting aspects to the plot but the pacing seems wildly off to me and i have to say i really dislike Keen as a character so far, i sympathise with the situation he is in but that doesn't give him the right to trample peoples personal boundaries, encroach on their personal space and start making decisions for them when he knows literally nothing about the person or the job he's interfering in
the actor is super cute though LMAO
