You know what I don't really feel like continuing to fight here because clearly you ignore my points and as I don't remember this show I cannot make as convincing an argument as I wish to. None of us will benefit from this because no matter how much logos I use, you will twist the meaning of my words to find a way that you are right.

But lastly I want to mention: why does XF have to let RY have JM? Especially, if, after the mortal trial, they love each other. Why does XF have to stand up for RY? I mean (again, as I have forgotten) are they supposed to be besties or something? Yes, him standing up for RY would make him a better character, but wouldn't RY saving XF and also letting JM be happy with XF at the end instead of launching war also make him a better character? AT the end of the day, these characters are deeply flawed, perhaps because they are supposed to be, perhaps out of bad writing. You say XF and JM are bad people, but I think RY is a bad person. None of us are wrong. But calling them "disgusting" and despicable and puke-worthy just really rubs me the wrong way. Just say you don't like them and let it be. And no I am not "not trying to remember the way it is" because as I have I don't like XF and JM.

Did I ever say I hate Runyu? Did I ever say Run yu is a disgusting character that makes me want to throw up? No. I just don't agree with his whole "yeah so I'm going to launch a war that could destroy everything because I'm jealous" ideology. Actually, I've already said, I don't even like Jinmi or Xufeng or Runyu or honestly anyone in this show (why do I still like it?). You can dislike them, that's totally fine. But you can't call them names and insults that are totally untrue.

Alright, so I read your comments and I have some thoughts. Do XF and JM know that RY was doing this all to save the world from evil? No. Did he ever sit them down and say "hey, so I have a plan and this is why you should support me" and then proceed to actually say his motivations? No. For all they know this could've been just for revenge. So... that point is invalid.

Okay so maybe XF never stood up for RY but consider this, has RY ever complained? Has he ever shown any sort of hatred towards this? You know from the beginning XF and RY aren't actually best friends who share secrets with each other over midnight sleepovers. He asked RY to forgive the empress because at the end of the day, the empress is still XF's mother. And she is nice towards him at the very least. Is pleading for your mother an immoral thing now? Yeah she's evil, but she loves XF and XF probably has some sort of love for her too, so is that sooooo wrong? Them getting together after going back to the heaven realm was mean towards RY (they could've just said it to his face), so I do get your point there. But as I have said, RY should now know that they love each other, and as he knows JM did not love him romantically before why should he keep tying them together when she is so clearly not happy. Is that love? And then preventing her from loving anyone again, just because he's jealous, is that love? No that's a desire to possess someone solely to be able to beat your sibling.

And now XF jumping into the mortal realm. Yeah that was stupid. But think about this, the person you like is forced to undergo a mortal trial that will most likely kill her. Do you stop and think for a few minutes to find the best method? Perhaps some would, but would XF, a person who is so head over heels in love and kind of idiotic in senses? Probably not. It's actually very in character of him to do so. Also did XF try to pursue JM after it was announced she was engaged to RY? No. (okay again, memory issues here, if he did then we can argue some more) But is it soooo wrong to try to save someone you love? To try to care for them? To try to make sure they're happy?

Also about the whole hooking up while Run Yu was undergoing a massive psychological awakening... did they know? Are they these gods with eyes that can see a million miles? Do they just know everything that's happening 24/7? How are they to be held responsible for that? For example, if someone had just lost a parent or something, but you didn't know, and you invited them to your parent's birthday party, that's hurting them right? But did you know? Did you mean to hurt them? No! Then what was so wrong? Yeah the hooking up was wrong, as I have said, but they can't be held responsible for pushing something forward when they didn't know this something was being pushed.

Yes, RY is a pitiful character. Yes, XF has gotten everything he wants. Jinmi, actual parents who care in the slightest, power whatever, but is that XF's problem? We can't choose who to love and who not to love, that's not how that concept works. So JM loving XF is not XF's problem and XF loving JM is not JM's problem. JM not loving RY is also definitely not her problem.

So in summary, yes, as I have said, them hooking up behind his back was cruel, but are they evil? Did they do anything to really traumatize RY? No. These people are in their first relationship. They are stupid. They don't know whats going on everywhere in the world. They have their biases and people they love and they have the people they don't love. What's wrong with that?

first of all, I didn't commit under Run Yu's because 1. I don't really like him as a character and 2. I don't have the free time to comment under every single thing I disagree with because sometimes how much you like a character really does lie within things like sympathy, empathy, relatability, like of the actor etc. and I can't like not allow someone to like someone I like, but your comment wasn't just disliking someone it was like hating, which kind of annoyed me.

But let's talk about Run Yu. Why should they feel guilty about them? What did they do to him? (An actual question because I watched this show last year and I don't actively rewatch). From my memory Run Yu betrayed BOTH of them by basically leashing a massacre at the wedding, and then proceeded to destroy the entire peace of the world because he wanted to have Jin Mi. I say have because I honestly don't think he love her. He also wanted to just abdicate the throne just because he didn't like it. Like wtf, he literally killed his entire family to get it and now just throws it away because it's too much pressure? What did they do? Well, they fell in love, but that isn't betraying Run Yu because did they have memories in the human realm? No. Yes Jin Mi kind of betrayed him by trying to cancel their engagement but in comparison to the actions of other people in this series, I don't think that is exactly a crime worthy of a thousand deaths. Yeah Xu Feng shouldn't have tried to stay his brother's fiancée, but when you think about it, it would be rather immoral and cruel to force Jin Mi to marry Run Yu when she clearly doesn't love him. Besides that what did they do? What blame was pushed onto Run Yu?

I know right! Especially when you take into consideration how good he looks in contemporary dramas.

Um what did Xufeng and Jinmi do to you? One (Xufeng) is just a little blind in the face of love and family and one (Jinmi) is just a little stupid. They aren't like mass murderers or anything. As someone who doesn't even like them that much, I still feel like disgusting is way too harsh a term.

I don't recall the bird realm being a realm but perhaps it is. I always thought it was just part of the heaven realm. Traditionally the xianxia world was composed of six realms: Spirit Realm (神界), Heaven Realm (仙界). Human Realm (人界), Demon Realm (妖界), Devil Realm (魔界), Underworld/Ghost Realm (冥界/鬼界). But if it was just water realm and bird realm like why couldn't the fairies know that? I don't see anything odd about that.
