Why do I find this show hilarious? Especially Yuan Shuai.

IT's definitely super cliche, but I find it legions more enjoyable than Love Designer (despite both having good chemistry). I think the fact that they have known each other since youth makes it much more endearing (now their bickering isn't being"rude" it's just teasing), and their acting definitely makes it more enjoyable. I actually feel like (at least imo) the clichés are slowly growing less throughout (the first episode was a little unbearable).

I have the exact opposite opinion, but I understand your disappointment. Since I like The Who's the Murderer show + members more than the Great Escape people (I like this show mostly because of the puzzles) I liked this episode more than I liked most episodes. (I mean you've got to admit Zhang Ruoyun's idea of trapping Tao Xiaofan in the trap was pretty cool).

this sounds like one of those crossdressing dramas but... modernized. Interesting.

Ah of course! I think you might like Ancient Detective (https://kisskh.at/36109-ancient-detective) which is kind of (?) similar to the Untamed. It has a bromance storyline, the genre is wuxia and the overall quality of fight scenes/pacing etc is very good. I'd also recommend:

That doesn't make it okay for people here to say that Wu Jinyan is ugly! Just because someone else says something wrong doesn't it make it okay for others to do the same thing! They have ALL the right to call out someone who is hating on and insulting an actress (unless, of course they hate on other actresses, which you have no evidence of. In which case it would only be hypocrisy, but still, justified because hate or cyberbullying in any format is NOT OKAY and needs to be called out.)

There's nothing wrong with either of them... and that's the point. You can not watch this drama because it doesn't feature Bai Lu, but you can't hate Wu Jinyan because she's not Bai Lu.

Oh my god me too! I was obsessed with this drama when I was 10. I didn't even understand some of it but I was obsessed.

It gets better towards the middle, also Yang Zi's acting got wayyy better towards the middle. In the beginning it was annoying but wait until the tragedy kicks in. Her crying scenes are super good.

Try it! AoL isn't my fav, but Leo does really great in it! (But if you don't want to see him being tortured... maybe not the best choice)

I hate him more too! At least Yuan Lang is upfront with his evilness, Dijun tries to pretend he's "doing it for the three realms".

She was full of hate because her closest friend (or person she likes) literally manipulated her into killing her own people? The person she trusted most literally poisoned her and the dismembered her? Her true identity was kept a secret from her for her entire life? Everyone in the entire heaven realm literally treated her like a killing tool even though she was a person with a heart? Everyone she trusts betrays her or manipulates her. I'd say that's reason enough. I think Xuanji is sooooo much better than Jinmi because at the very least she has a heart and a brain (though both of those things don't work that much).

you should watch a new drama!! I'd recommend Ashes of Love, Goodbye My Princess or Joy of Life!

I mean, that's not like the biggest plot point there. Like, so long as acting and chemistry is fine, it should be believable nonetheless. Your criteria for good casting shouldn't just consist of is Xiao Longnü older than Yang Guo. They are both described quite vividly in the novel, and the main defining characteristic for their relationship isn't "she's older than him". So, as long as Yang Guo fits Yang Guo's profile, and Xiao Longnü is cast similar to the description in the novel, I don't care about the age difference. (Besides, Liu Yifei was probably the best Xiao Longnü, but she's not older than Huang Xiaoming. Age doesn't define performance).

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I do know that Lin Waner and Fan Xian have a happy ending at the end of the novel.

I don't really want a S2, because L&R is so perfect by itself (also, with the way the fans are disrupting the friendship between CY and YBY, I don't think we'll get one with them). But, a spinoff in the same universe that has the same characters popping in once or twice could be fun. I want more tragic xianxia romance!
