Me too! She is so realistic and complex. I think the reason why she is also heavily misunderstood is because she isn't the typical romcom FL whose life revolved around the ML. Like, we see her fighting for her dreams and striving to get through life.
Apart from the hilarious scenes, there are a lot of scenes in this episode alone which gave my heart so much warmth. Love Next Door has done it again by giving us these heartwarming scenes. I ended up crying in most of these scenes not because they were sad, but rather are very touching. The writer conveyed yet again a meaningful message with each of these scenes. When Moeum and Danho's relationship were about to be revealed to Yeondu, instead of saying casually that they are dating or I am going to be your mom now. I love how Moeum had asked for Yeondu's permission, showing how she values her opinions, considers her feelings and respects her as no matter if she is a child, blood related or not, her stand still has weight and should be considered even at such a young age. I commend the writer especially for the script line for Moeum, instead of the permission going like "will you be my child?", they made it into something more meaningful with "can I be your mom?".
Another scene that made me tear up to the core is when both Mi suk and Hye suk had finally calmed down and sat at the rooftop. Where they truly spoke to each other what they truly meant. They were never really against or opposed of their children's relationship to begin with. However, Mi Suk had misinterpreted Hye Suk's intentions especially with the money which triggered her insecurity. But, the writer dealt with this matter and wrapped it up neatly, yet again, giving us a touching scene between the two. It shows how powerful friendship is. I couldn't stop crying when Hye Suk said she would help protect Seokryu and Mi Suk said she would continue to cook her favorite food. This was the perfect catalyst for Mi Suk's insecurities to officially die down. It gives a powerful message about real friendship ; they accept you for who you are and don't see you as a competition. Ofcourse, Seokryu's dad made my eyes bawl with the restaurant scene and interview he did with Danho. I really love the friendship between him and Seunghyo's dad but what I love more is his friendship with his daughter, when they were just sitting down having a serious conversation about his retirement which quickly switched up to humorous jokes and laughter, it's a comforting scene to watch.
Also, our heavily misunderstood Seokryu. I love the writer so much for having this idea of making her propose to Seunghyo as well. She didn't need to but it was an unexpected scene. Making me love this episode even more. I am pointing out the creativity the writer had come up with Seokryu's confessions, they are truly and genuinely coming from her heart. We know how much she loves food and the relation of it to her dreams, in her confessions she always involves food in them which clearly indicates and screams how she loves Seunghyo so much. I did love Seunghyo's proposal to her in her room, but Seokryu's proposal turned to be my favorite and I still think about Seonghyu's words in last scene of episode 14, that was his perfect proposal for me.
