Yes, I am so thankful that Haein is the one who played Choisseung its refreshing to see this new character of him plus we got to discover alot of his new side. It might have not been as spectacular as his previous dark roles but we can't deny he has a talent for romcom too and he did a wonderful job at bringing Choisseung to life. So proud of him. He & Somin had worked hard! plus i am glad he gained new friends through lnd fam ❤️

I agree with everything you have said. As someone who has been an avid kdrama watcher since highschool, I noticed that romcom kdramas tend to always mix in sad elements. Even during the year 2016 to 2017 which people considered as the peak of kdramas, the romcoms released then like weightlifting fairy kim book joo or strong woman do bongsoon had emotional sad scenes and angst in them that made people laugh and cry. Even princess hours had emotional sad moments. This has long been a standing kdrama trope, it has become their trademark. It's also the reason why they were so famous. So yeah, i also dont understand why having sad parts in romcom kdrama is a negative. Maybe some of the complains came from new watchers. Because any old kdrama watchers know this about romcom kdramas.

This is the first time after a long while that I had been this attatched to a drama to the point I engaged in this comment section. It will also probably be my last. I will miss Love Next Door so much. It was an enjoyable journey. Aside from enjoying the drama itself, I found happiness in interacting in this comment section as well, sharing insights/analysis/theories/different opinions was a memorable ride for me. I will miss interacting with everyone here, especially the friends I had recently made.

yeah...which is why LND means to him and it healed him in some way. I could careless about what other people say, he did great in this drama considering it is his first romcom and it is not everyday we get to see him in this type of role which makes me love his role as choisseung even more because we got to see a whole new side of him
