Also, those 11 people don't entirely know what is going around every corner of the little cabin since they aren't given the third person POV like us watchers and the panels. Even with the Yufan and Muchen situation, Yufan was unaware. So, these casts are just human beings at the end of the day who act and react based on what they know or experience in that little cabin. Besides no human is perfect it is through these mistakes that we are able to grow and learn. Like, for Muchen's case. I disliked his actions but don't hate the person himself, as I understand he has yet to learn and improve in certain aspects. Also, we don't fully know each of these cast in real life and some of them might have been influenced by their past traumas.

I disagree. I think both FL and ML are doing a good job whether in terms of acting or visuals. I think the reason why you aren't feeling the FL acting yet is because her character is still weak and hasn't fully gained her powers, so she doesn't come off as a strong character for now.

Also, height is completely irrelevant to face visual or make-up. In my opinion, Neo fits his character as Zhao Yuanzhou perfectly. Not just because of how good-looking he is, but because of how he carries the outfit and brings life to the character itself. Also, his make-up might seem too much but I think it is fitting since he is a demon and such make-up would bring highlight to his key facial features making him come off strong. Like, his certain facial expressions which he makes or even the micro expressions in his eyes are highlighted more with the make-up. A minimal make-up for a strong character or a well-known great demon would not give justice to the supposed stance or visual presentation the written powerful character as Zhao Yuanzhou would be, any other actor playing such roles in c-dramas would look mundane in minimal make-up regardless of their height.

We finally got to know what he has hinted in episode 1. Furthermore, if you look at the cast list here in mdl, you will notice the other name of ZYZ is Lord Yinglong. So, I think he also has a connection with Yinglong, maybe he is a descendant or it is his past self.

There is romance but it is not to an intimate extent yet as it leans more to slow burn trope, furthermore, for now that aspect is not the main focus of the story but we might get more of the romance in future episodes as things or flashbacks are sort of pointing into that direction as well. The leads have chemistry together, their interactions and banters have hints of sweetness in them. If you are the type who appreciates some playfulness, flirting where both leads can respond back to each other and some minimal skinship then you will be able to appreciate and feel the romance between them despite it being subtle.

The main power holder or in other words ultimate controller of the Baize token is the Baize Goddess and great demons who share the other half of the token are only there as sort of an assistant who would help them in activating the Baize Token and gaurding the realms. Also, Wen Xiao's master fully operated the Baize Token by herself as shown in flashbacks. So, the true power control really lies within the Goddess.

Yes, ZY didn't know that the other half of the Baize Token was transferred to him that time since he has been affected by the malicious energy, like you said he wasn't himself. The token went to him.

The romance leans more to slow burn and the story doesn't heavily focus on the romance, but it seems we might be getting in that direction in future episodes. Both Neo Hou and Chen Duling have chemistry. I am liking their banters and interactions even if it is not to an intimate extent yet, because there are still hints of sweetness in their interactions.

I like all the dynamics we are getting between the demon hunting team. But, the chemistry between Zhao Yuan and Wen Xiao gives me butterflies. They aren't in a romantic relationship and the story isn't heavily focusing on their romance aspect, but their interactions and playful banters with each other apart from some skinship they do get in certain scenes gets me everytime. I am loving the lowkey flirtation going on between them, Zhao Yuan always throws a flirty remark and Wen Xiao definitely knows how to flirt back to his remarks. Looking forward to the development of their romance. I am definitely a sucker for slow burn romance.

This! I agree with you. I love MJTY! it's one of my fave dramas but for me, I understand that both these dramas are completely different regardless if they had the same director or some of the actors from the previous drama are present here. So, comparison for me is kind of pointless as like you said, they are completely different shows. Furthermore, we are still in early episodes and barely in the middle of the drama, like this has 34 episodes. So, a boatload of angst is quite unnecessary for now. I am enjoying the balance between the comedy tbh. Although, I do understand the story pacing for this is quite slow, which some might not like, but I think the slow pace is perfect as it will allow for a more in-depth grasps of each of these characters and their past which would be more satisfying.
