For someone who has been watching xianxia dramas for years now, I have grown used to this type of FL characters. So I agree with you, it is not new. There are a lot of xianxia dramas with similar weak FL at first but as plot progresses for some case they usually end up being strong once they go through character development.

I disagree. She has strongly been against Chongwu Camp since episode 1. Also, she is able to sympathize and empathize with demons and has a justifiable way of dealing with them. Clearly, she knows Chongwu Camp is ruthless towards demons and she sees them unfair, considering her identity as a goddess too. The spy is more likely to be between PSJ and Bai Jiu, they both have a tattoo on their wrist.

Yeah they both deal with demons but these two dramas are of complete contrast with each other. So, like I said, it is all up to personal preferences. There is completely no point in comparing two dramas as everyone is entitled to their own taste. If you find one drama better than the other then that is for you, whereas others might have a different opinion so everything is subjective in the end.

I think comparisons between two dramas are irrelevant as at the end of the day it all boils down to your personal preference as a drama watcher. Realistically speaking everyone is different and obviously would have different taste too. So, I suggest instead of bringing an unrelated dramas name in another dramas page for the sake of comparison which would only lead to nothing but conflict between drama watchers who might favor one instead of the other, it is better you follow your own preference, as you will be the one watching it not anyones dictated opinion. I am watching both of these dramas and have been enjoying both of them so far.

Their romance is slow burn and such tropes take time to develop intimately. I also think personal preferences is part of the reason as not everyone really likes slow paced romance.

Yes! they can be considered more of childhood friends rather than sweetheart in my opinion since WX has been constantly treating ZYC as a friend rather than a romantic partner. She can be considered his aunt but not a blood-related type. However, I do think that the 'aunt' thing is just said out of the whim by WX to tease him through their conversation in that scene, furthermore, ZYC never uttered that word itself. Your point makes sense though!
