The romance leans more to slow burn and the story doesn't heavily focus on the romance, but it seems we might be getting in that direction in future episodes. Both Neo Hou and Chen Duling have chemistry. I am liking their banters and interactions even if it is not to an intimate extent yet, because there are still hints of sweetness in their interactions.

I like all the dynamics we are getting between the demon hunting team. But, the chemistry between Zhao Yuan and Wen Xiao gives me butterflies. They aren't in a romantic relationship and the story isn't heavily focusing on their romance aspect, but their interactions and playful banters with each other apart from some skinship they do get in certain scenes gets me everytime. I am loving the lowkey flirtation going on between them, Zhao Yuan always throws a flirty remark and Wen Xiao definitely knows how to flirt back to his remarks. Looking forward to the development of their romance. I am definitely a sucker for slow burn romance.

This! I agree with you. I love MJTY! it's one of my fave dramas but for me, I understand that both these dramas are completely different regardless if they had the same director or some of the actors from the previous drama are present here. So, comparison for me is kind of pointless as like you said, they are completely different shows. Furthermore, we are still in early episodes and barely in the middle of the drama, like this has 34 episodes. So, a boatload of angst is quite unnecessary for now. I am enjoying the balance between the comedy tbh. Although, I do understand the story pacing for this is quite slow, which some might not like, but I think the slow pace is perfect as it will allow for a more in-depth grasps of each of these characters and their past which would be more satisfying.

My theory is that Zhao Yuan's power weakens when he falls in love. There was a flashback scene between ZYZ and WX before that showed how he wrote a sort of contract which states his promise to stay by WX side, however, we were also shown another flashback of him having to send WX away for so long and WX seems to have forgotten most of her memories (which I think he erased or sealed). That is why he told her to think of their reunion as getting to know each other again. So, it could be that during that time in the flashback he might have started to have feelings for WX and due to that his power weakened which resulted to him being easily infected by the malicious energy. Now in recent, with their contract when he fainted, I don't think it merely has to do with that blood contract he signed. Even Li Lun wants ZYZ to be separated from the baize goddess or simply WX, and we know both of them used to be best buddies and are the most powerful demons. However, due to Biaze goddess and WX interference between the two of them there has been a current rift in their friendship. But, I could also be wrong haha

Yes, there were two Pei Si Heng. The real PSH is the one which Pei Si Jing killed with her arrow. While the puppet is the one that was transformed into human through the doll, and the memories of the real person is contained into that puppet. The puppet was also the one who did the real killing.

I agree with you on this one. Also, there is no point in saving the poor victim. If you were referring to the victim in latest episode. We were shown how clearly he is no longer the real human but a puppet of Cheng Huang. The real victim died long ago. His spirit or memory is just contained in the puppet. Even if they tried to save the victim it is pointless because he is already dead to begin with.

I agree with you! also same, she's also the only villain i've respected, she ate that role in TTEOTM. Which is why I am looking forward to her characters future development here, she seems to have a dark side and am excited for that. I think we will get the angst part midway but I am glad it started out light-hearted to prepare us for the tragic, heartwrenching parts. So am enjoying the comedic scenes for now.

Yeah because even if they did kill him, the person to die is the actual person of the body he possessed not the actual Li Lun himself. His real body/form is still trapped. So killing is pointless atm.

This! It honestly doesn't make sense how some dislike her being the fl here just because they were annoyed with the characters she had played in her previous dramas before. Like seriously, the actress is seperate from her roles. Also, the storyline for this drama and her character arc is obviously different. I say she is definitely doing a good job playing Wen Xiao and loving her evident chemistry with Neo. I did find some of her character in previous dramas which I have watched of hers as annoying but that just proves how impactful of an actress she is for playing such roles well.
