Well, people were quick to judge it because of the cancer trope but when you watch the ep itself, you will realize it wasn't that bad. She's completely cured! you might just get de ja vu, although that is normal since kdramas use the same trope anyway, at the end of the day, the focus of storyline, characters and their execution for the trope all differs. The big difference of LND with all other dramas it is being compared to is that all the angst or heavy stuff are at earlier eps instead of later or throughout the whole 16 eps. So yeah, happy watching to you!

LND is a slowburn romance. If you are not into such, this will def not be your cup of tea. The first 10 episodes leans more towards different aspects rather than focusing solely on the romance between the leads. The storyline will tackle different realistic life struggles which often some viewers will be able to relate to. It is realistic in a sense as it touches topics about family, dreams, friendship etc. All those different aspects play a big role in order to attain deeper understanding with regards to the complexity of the leading characters, along with the beloved people surrounding them. Each episodes will help you unravel layer by layers to get really in depth. So, while watching the drama, it leans to slice of life, healing, melo and lastly romcom. However, the storyline is slow but it is not 'draggy' (issues/problems gets wrapped up quickly). The pacing for the storyline is perfect for a slow burn romance trope. The characters have their own set of flaws but it is not something completely negative, it just makes them more realistic. Definitely no one-dimensional character here. Once you have passed through all 10 episodes, then what awaits you will be worth every roller coaster of emotions you had felt during the first 10 episodes. It is spicy enough.

3. Not really. Exes of both main characters come into the picture solely for the purpose of 'closure'. Must say a neatly done closing of chapter by the writer.
4. There are some. Expect some angst especially in earlier episodes. However, I assure you it is satisfying because they don't drag issues for long and resolve it within the same episode or asap next ep.

6. I must say if you bear the whole 10 episodes, the following episodes onwards will be a complete party. It was all worth the roller coaster ride because the writer's rewards was worth the wait.
7. Slow burn romance but once it is earned you'll end up getting satisfaction and feel deeply how worthy all it was.

No prob! ❤️ Yes! You are right! She went through a slump, found her passion, then just when she thought she got everything in her hands, the rejection is like a slap on her face. Her brother's words def played a part in helping her loosen up a bit in this episode.
Actually, SeungRyu improved for me, with how they dealt with their argument. Also, Seokryu she is finally expressing her feelings rather than avoiding them, plus her declaration of love at the end. Then, there is Seunghyo, he is self-aware and notice how if there are instances he yells he would quickly apologize for it to Seokryu. So yeah, I do see some progress in their characters, it's slow but it is there. I am neutral and don't think one is better than the other. Both have flaws and I believe we get to see more improvememt from them in next ep.

I have a cdrama which I just started but put on hold since i'm waiting for LND to end. I suggest you try: 'You are my lover friend', it is airing now. Also, it has friend to lover trope as well.

Wait I am loving such talks 🤣😂 our boy deserved it he waited almoost his whole life for those moments!! Also, the scene when Seokryu convinced him as to why they should keep their relationship a secret is so hilarious to me! Like he quickly agreed like a child. He is naughty ahahaha both of them are and I love it! 🤣 ahaha everyone going wild about the proposal, they need to chill!

He can get frustrating at times but rather than letting my own emotions do the talk, I always try to put myself in the character's shoes (it gets less frustrating for me when I am able to grasps my own understanding about them). Yeah, he suffered from it at such a young age and still suffers from it now. I get the reason why he is easily very worked out. It's a reaction that people who suffers from such issues would often do. His fears constantly eats him up. Thus, we see him quickly jumping to conclusions and at times yelling which I take as a sign to show him getting triggered. Also, he already suffered enough when Seokryu went to the US, how he had tried his best to move on from her, and hide his feelings for Seokryu's sake. Now, what more given they are already in an established romantic relationship right. It would be a big blow for him. Like, what happened to his younger days with his beloved family. It's a flaw of his that might be deemed negative, but even more so, it makes him realistic.
