It's honestly one of the best aspects which I have liked about the drama. For the first time they didn't use the excuse of being blood related or how she was her mother. What I found even more satisfying is how Wen Yifan had confronted her mother, her dialogues really cut deep to the throat and it was so satisfying to see her say those words, like she didn't just simply say I will no longer contact you, but the fact that she said outright that her daughter died on that night when her mother chose to ignore her had me applauding because that horrible mother deserves to suffer in her guilt.

You are right, he had made me an instant fan of him. He is a spectacular actor, so I am definitely going to look forward to seeing his future and past works. I am mostly a romance genre lover but for him I wouldn't mind diving into suspense/thrillers just to see his acting performance ✨

I honestly haven't move on, it is indeed a shame it ended too soon.

I completed this about a week ago as well, and I haven't been able to watch any other drama.

Wen Yi Fan is the female leads birth name, while Wen Shuangjiang is a nickname given by her father because she was born in 18th solar term in chinese calendar which is the beginning of frost/snow.

It actually took me 5 days to complete it, I just couldn't find the right words after watching the final episodes. Thank you so much for reading 💗

Lovely review! you are right, the first frost really changed our lives and it's whole trajectory. I also share the same sentiment with you about the grandparents part I wish they could have shortened it a bit and for the HK plot, I didn't mind it at all either.

that's alright we all have different preferences, the first frost actually leans to a much more mature romantic tale and takes on an angsty but serious shifts so the feeling it gives is much more on an emotionally deep level, while I also love hidden love, I think that one leaned more on fluffier story and purely focused on romance.
