MDL ratings must be having a glitch but it is quite questionable for this drama to be the only one that decreased in ratings. All individual episodes have high ratings 9.0+, there is only 3 episodes that are rated lower than 9 and that lowest is 8.9 even. It's suspicious how this should be tallied to higher score than 8.5.

I noticed that too, Shou Hua had the hardest time communicating with Du Yang Xi so did Fu Hui. Kang Ning was mid 😂. Another aspect is in terms of wealth it seems the youngest will have the wealthiest husband who is related to royalty.

Contrary to how this drama is said to be badly written because the male leads characters were written to be very flawed with questionable actions, I on the other hand am enjoying this drama a lot. It does take time to grow on you, but the more you watch and grasp the story, take patience with the character development, you will realize this drama has its positives and is not that horribly bad as what others deemed it to be. I have seen far worst written dramas with intolerable characterization be it for male lead or female lead. Like what others had commented before, this drama is more women-centric but it also delves so much about personal growth. It does not glorify immoral acts or so-called red flags, it shows you more about well written women who are capable, smart and ones who can stand on their own two feet without the need for a knight in shining armor. It's rather a reversal where this time, the men can lead a better life because of the female leads, so I find that refreshing. What I also love about this drama is the familial bond, seeing how close-knit the sisterhood is without secret animosity towards each other is heartwarming. The addition of the son-in-law alliance adds another interesting element, but through these alliance as much as they are laughable, they show you how these men grow as both person and better husbands. It's called perfect match not because they were already perfect from the start but because after going through lots of hardships and troubles together, these flawed couples eventually mold together to be a perfect fit.

I think it rather has to do with her styling and make-up plus how certain angle close-ups of her face were shot for this drama. Lang Jie looks the same to me, I have watched her previous works before and could easily recognize her.

I am the opposite as you, it took me 4 days before I could actually arrange my thoughts as I have so much I wanted to say about this drama but I don't know where to start. It has managed to earn a special place in my heart too. The ending was the best conclusion and made every thing worthwhile.

Exactly. They brought a refreshing type of chemistry on screen that I am officially sold over their portrayal of lovers, be it Bai Shuo and Fan Yue or Jing Yuan and Xing Yue. Their dynamic was impressive.

That is the stark contrast I found between Bai Shuo and Xing Yue. To me, Bai Shuo was braver in facing all that came her way, that even if there were no options left for her, she still never step back down. One example of this is when it came to Fan Yue's death. She still chose to find ways to save him. It's her strong determination, resilience and bravery that led her to become a diety. She wasn't just Xing Yue's mantle but she proved she can be the one who wields the divine bow as well. It shows how powerful she truly is.

I'll try to get into it, but I don't think it will be so soon. Since new dramas I am anticipating to watch as well are piling up on my watchlist. As for TLI, my main problem was with the plot writing, the constant search for countless of treasures felt more like a treasure hunt for me rather than a xianxia. I also found the ML to make no improvement even if he became a god. The ending left a bitter taste in my mouth as well.
