Jing Yuan and Xing Yue's backstory hurts a lot. During that arc I felt sad for both of them for some reason I felt a bit more sadder for Xing Yue actually. It's because of the fact she had constantly lived a lifeless life and when she finally found the love of her life and her happiness, heaven didn't allow it. So I understood why she had to act cruel to him, however, I think it wasn't an easy feat for Xing Yue, as she was so deeply in love with him. We can see her punishing herself and trying to seal off her contemplation to the point her stellar powers depleted.

At least for Jing Yuan he was able to hate her, I mean he tried to hate her and express his anger at her. Whereas Xing Yue probably hated herself a lot hence she created that dream. As a way to express her feelings. The dream was her real wish, what she truly yearns for. She's been tormented again because she had to shoot an arrow towards Jing Yuan in the end. Thankfully, Xiu Yan was there to restore Jing Yuan's memories or it would have been even more painful and unfair if he never got to find out the truth that Xing Yue truly did love him but all she wanted was to save his life.

I cried so much in the end because they were only given a brief moment to be together. To express their love for each other. When their misunderstandings were cleared, they couldn't even get to say a proper goodbye. So for me, it wasn't just Jing Yuan who was selfless, Xing Yue was selfless too and it speaks so much about their love for each other.

The scene with him and Fan Yue conversing before he truly left, it's one of my most favorite moment from the drama. It showed a lot about his character. My heart hurts for him too, especially when he explained why he was still able to exist and save Bai sisters. It turns out he constantly searched for Xing Yue all these years. Only to find out she no longer existed in that world. Thinking about that is too painful but I would like to think that the scene with the two stars sparkling was a sign that the two of them reunited and became stars.

Right. I am on episode 38 and the fact that he still constantly searched for Xing Yue even if he had to divide his mantle into half, then when he finally found her, he realized the one he has been looking for is gone 😭

Fan Yue and Jing Yuan shares some similar traits, I do love Fan Yue but I am loving Jing Yuan a bit more. There is just something about him which draws me more into his character, his purple eyes and how he has much more domineering aura. I guess I am suffering from the effect of his majestic presence in the first episode. His entrance was something else then.

I haven't finished watching yet but I think it's the best arc for me too.

the love triangle is okay because the FL knows how to set boundaries and always chooses the ML , while you might get annoyed with the 2ML for all the chasing he does.

I think the realm of resentment with Linglong's side remarks is what made them more self aware of their feelings for each other.

yes, I am glad her mantle is human Bai Shuo who was pampered and treated well like a princess so she at least got to live a normal life and experience what it is like to have family, friend and even lover. Maybe that is why Mo Li was reincarnated into an eternal lol

I actually felt sorry for them because their love is really too tragic. Although I do feel a bit more for Xing Yue because of the fact she lived a lifeless life for years, when she finally met the one she loves, she had to choose a ruthless path just for the sake of saving her love ones life. It must have been tormenting to know you hurt the one you love and the fact she had to seal off her contemplations just to remove the love she feels in her heart as she knew it would do more hurt than harm. The difference between the impact of it all for her and Jing Yuan is that atleast Jing Yuan turned to hate her, whereas she must have hated herself. The only good outcome is that Jing Yuan learnt the truth and they did meet again, but Xing Yue was yet again made to shoot an arrow at Jing Yuan and watch him die in front of her. These are just my thoughts and am not saying Jing Yuan didn't suffer at all, they both did suffer a lot but I just feel a little bit more for Xing Yue's suffering.

Thanks for not spoiling, I have 4 episodes left to watch. I am planning to finish it today although I am very reluctant to complete it since I don't want this drama to end 🥺

I thought I was done crying after the proposal scene but they decided to show Xing Yue and Jing Yuan backstory at that exact moment, which made me cry even more. As much as I felt sad for Jing Yuan, I felt even sadder for Xing Yue. When she finally got a taste of what life should be like thanks to Jing Yuan, it was taken away from her in a split second.

She is very well loved by lurongs, her achievements on certain charts aren't from international fans but chinese fans. You can see how she's constantly topping Dou Yin with her character as Bai Shuo because not only lurongs are loving her but other cnetz too.

She nailed it. I would love for her to try this type of character too she definitely excels in strong female leads but I would like to see her acing villain and darker roles.

Bai Lu is so convincing with her villain-ish role. That smirk she gave out when she turned around was so sly of her. It's interesting to see her in this kind of role and wish she plays this type of character in future, being a villain suits her too and I am definitely convinced she wasn't Bai Shuo. The contrast was portrayed so well that I am so infuriated and annoyed with her character.

The way Fan Yue quickly got rid of the carnivorous flower the moment he knew it attacked Bai Shuo. He is such a green flag man. Protective of his woman.

I suggest watch the trailer for each dramas you mentioned and see which one will intrigue you more. On the side note, moonlight mystique is a recommendable xianxia drama to watch.

I only have a few episodes left and I am dragging to continue, I don't want this to end so soon 🥺

the comments could be a lot which made me hesitant at first too but I decided to still give it a shot and see for myself, I did enjoy some aspects of this drama.
