this is one of lulu's dramas which am anticipating the most, i hope this airs by Q1 of 2025, the long wait is killing me and rewatching trailer is not enough 😭

Yeah, the plot does start out a bit slow in earlier episodes but it will pick up in the latter. This type of style is what GJM has been known for. All I can say for now is that you'll get the facial expressions you're looking for at further episodes, the comedic aspect for the characters adds layer to their complexity. It'll tone down by second half and you'll end up missing the comedic aspects at some point.

Lester's character here is more anime-like compared to his character in MJTY. It actually took time for me as well to get used to his character here. But, I got used to it in the end for some reason. Both these dramas are different from each other, as the latter leans more to total darkness. Meanwhile here in FOF, the light and dark tones are balanced out. Happy watching to you though, give it a try until second half at least before dropping. You never know, you might end up getting hooked 🤗

To add more to what the other two users had said above, in earlier episodes Zhao Yuanzhou explained to Wen Xiao how for demons it takes at least a hundred or thousands of years of cultivation in order for them to experience or learn each emotion.

Zhao Yuanzhou has a far more developed cultivation when it comes to emotions, and we know how these said emotions play a part in terms of sympathy and empathy. This is an area which Li Lun specifically lacked at, hence during that time he couldn't come to understand Zhao Yuanzhou's perspective. His views are constricted by the only emotion he knew which is anger - hatred/revenge. It's easy to say they could have just sat and talk it out but the point is they are demons ; different from humans. It's hard to talk someone out when they are submerged in their own hatred and have constricted views.
