aside from his personality trait of not accepting free lunches... what he wants is a lifelong income source that…
At least that way Joe would be working and his popularity as an actor would be on his own merit. But, yeah, either way, he's still whoring himself out.
I know Ming still doesn't know that its his Joe, even if he looks like him. I didn't expect him to act this way!!…
I get the feeling that New Joe is just supposed to be so much like Old Joe. Probably in mannerisms and stuff, and I think they're acting like he resembles him more that the actors really resemble each other. I wish they would have just used the same actor in reflections and stuff and left it to our imaginations to believe he was a different person who looked similar.
Wow, this is so complicated. I get the feeling Joe thinks he's standing in for Tong again, not realizing he's standing in for himself. I wish they'd think about little things like how much more sense it would make if the fricking key wasn't under a POT, the well-known place where people hide their keys. Then it would make more sense that Ming wondered about the new Joe finding it. I mean, under a pot is the first place literally everyone would look. And the whole thing with Joe's back...man, he must have one fine back. When Wut told him to turn around for Sol, I laughed out loud. I mean, what? And let's not talk about the fact that the other stand in had a build more like Tong's than Joe's was. They aren't even the same height. It's just ridiculous. I kind of wish they hadn't used this second actor's face as the new Joe in mirrors and stuff. I wish they'd just shown this actor but made him have a reaction to it---like, he obviously wasn't in the same body, but this guy did hold a resemblance. Why? Because the actor who plays new Joe in reflections doesn't look like this Joe, and he has this look on his face that I don't like, and I hate thinking about him looking like that and can't imagine Ming being attracted to him or thinking he's the old Joe. Another thing--I appreciate that Joe2's mom is the only person Joe1 has now, but he got attached to her awful fast. And did they say anything about him forgetting the past from whatever put him in a coma? Because he and the mom never seem to talk about the past.
Ming: Unless you're missing Joe so much, you broke into his house. Sol: (sneering) Now, why would I do that? Wut: So, why did you break in , Sol? Sol: I was missing Joe, so I went there. ??? lol
I really don't think you are feeling/understanding what Joe went through and why he did that. Just think, Joe…
If Ming would avenge Joe's death by brining Tong down, I'd be so happy. But it's been two years. Wouldn't he have done it already? Plus there's the problem that Ming seems to believe Joe is still alive. And that if he were to bring down Tong, he'd be hurting his sister, too.
When Ming understands everything, do you honestly believe he will let Tong get away so easily? If Tong needed…
I think Wuk said Ming was responsible because he thinks Tong got him to pay someone to mess with the equipment. I don't think he did do that, though. I think Tong got someone else to do it. Everyone is assuming the "accident" happened because Wuk said the company was remiss about things like that, but it seems a bit coincidental that it killed Joe when Tong hated Joe so much and felt threatened by him.
I watched the first five episodes of the series. I haven't read the books, and I don't feel like it considering…
I think it would be Joe who tries to avenge his own death, although I'm not sure he'll be strong enough to do it. I don't see anything to indicate that Ming is trying to do it, but I think you are probably right that he's changed. And he's clinging to some hope that Joe is still alive somehow. My assumption is that Tong was responsible for the equipment malfunction that caused Joe to die. That he paid someone to make it happen because Joe was a better actor and a better man than he was, and perhaps he realized that Ming was idolizing him less because of Joe. I think that Wuk thinks the same and that he may suspect Tong got Ming to do the dirty work (thus his comment that Ming is responsible for Joe's death.) But I agree with you that Ming changed. He tried to tell Joe he loved him on that phone call, and he's been riddled with guilt and sadness ever since. I don't know if it's made him a better man, but he definitely figured out Tong is not someone to idolize. I WISH that Joe would try to avenge his own death, but he probably won't. Would it be great if Ming did? But wouldn't he have done it by now? Sounds like Tong's still acting. Also, hurting Tong would be hurting Ming's sister.
This and Only Boo are my reasons for excitement these days. Amidst the tons of dramas I've watched over the years…
It depends on what I'm in the mood for. I'm loving this because of the friends and the different relationships. Is Only Boo lighthearted too? I might go watch it. Right now, besides this, I'm watching Wandee Good day (so cute!) and My Stand In (really angsty.)
if I have one qualm with this show, it is Q's character mixed with Toey's. Q is a much more interesting character…
Yeah, why is Q so grumpy all of the time? But they work for me. I have more of an issue with FangTan. They got together too fast and there doesn't seem to be all that much to their relationship. Tan is too silly, and Fang doesn't say much at all.
It's funny reading the comments and seeing some people who don't enjoy the friend group when I'm loving it. This show is just a comforting watch for me with the added benefit of the main couple and QToey. I'd like to see Chain and Pun get together. The only thing I would change is I would like Tan to be a little more serious. He's too goofy. Anyway, there are people commenting they don't like it, and I remember looking at the comments in Two 'Worlds and wondering how the hell anyone was enjoying it. To each his own.
