I feel like Dongjae's junior Jung Min Ha deserves a comment of appreciation for bringing the pictures to Simok…
the parallels between her and young eun soo are quite astonishing. other than the age, both are extremely persistent, sometimes to the point of being annoying

"oh an ex-prosecutor is using his connections to let the culprit run free? no problem, we'll just use our own…
yupp exactly. the whole time that scene was running i was just thinking "si mok wouldn't do that you corrupted assholes >:("

but an interesting thing is that you can't help but ask if it was a necessary evil. yes what they did was fked, but what non-corrupt way could they have used to deal with that issue?

episode 14 was one hell of a ride. i've not been this invested in a single episode since that one in season 1 when they were running after mr yoon. the tension... holy hell

once again, we get to see our hwang han combo's perfect teamwork and boy did it bless my eyes. the way they are so in sync... i love how emotionally taut hwang si mok was in this episode, just bubbling away under the surface ready to explode at any moment. cho seung woo really never fails.

also it was just a small scene but i really can't get it out of my head. the little little ways they show just how deep corruption runs in the prosecution is fking brilliant. oh an ex-prosecutor is using his connections to let the culprit run free? no problem, we'll just use our own connections to make sure we secure the culprit. i love that in this scene it's corruption used for the 'moral right', but just think what would have happened if he was actually innocent? they would have framed a college kid, ruined his entire future, just because they were sure he was the culprit.

can't wait for ep 15, looks like the park gwang su case will finally be broken open (let's play a game of guess who's the corrupt prosecutor! i have my bet on kim sang hyun, woo tae ha is too much a coward)

can someone tell me if i should watch this? i just finished watching season 1 and i dont want it to be ruined…
i have no idea how it would be like to be able to binge up to ep 14, but from my experience (caught up at ep 6), i was disappointed at first by the slow pace and intense talking at the start. but after ep 7, it picks up really fast and the second half is as good as the first season (in terms of the crime elements and hwang-han teamwork).

also once you let the first half sink in and you start to think about its significance in the story, you'll start to appreciate it a lot (think fog metaphor). in a lot of ways, s2 shows more of a mature and complex writing, and this can be more enjoyable for some.

in the end, hwang si mok and han yeo jin will never disappoint as characters and if you like them even a little bit, i recommend you don't let s2 pass by you

OH MY WORD OH MY FKING WORD I NEED EP 14 RIGHT NOW! 지금 당장!!

i'm so sorry i was ever frustrated at the writer for throwing so many possibilities at us. now that we're finally out of fog it has all paid off. to think that we're actually right back where we started: tongyeong. this result should have disappointed me; all the big fishes, and it turns out its this college kid. but somehow i've never been more satisfied by a culprit reveal than this.

can i say, nothing makes me happier than seeing our crime solving duo working together. i don't need romance, but just please give us more of them working together plssssss. it was adorable when they 'sneaked' out to investigate on their own lol. also i love the parallel they are drawing between the choi woo combo and our hwang han combo

there's definitely some tension going on between them and while i would guess that they were past lovers, i doubt…
oh and i just remembered, woo tae ha is married (there was some scandal that got covered up where he got his wife to remove some cryptocurrency cash just before it crashed i think)

I normally don't show up to prop my own work but if you want a genuine answer to your question I wrote a blog…
a very well-written blog. kudos :)

honestly s2 is really an engima for me. when i first caught up to ep 6, i was frustrated. i hated the direction (or lack thereof) it was going in and i wanted less talking and more doing. but its funny, the more i chew on it, the more i like it. i think what you said about the fog metaphor sums it up perfectly. i love that we can see our infalliable characters faltering. not in the sense of doubting the need for justice, but rather questioning just how wrong the system they believed in was.

I am not really enjoying this season either. I re-watched season 1 loll. I feel like this season is slow and there…
wait hold on, what part of si mok smiles too much in this season? he has smiled once. in 12 episodes. once. he smiled 3 times in season 1 (4 if you count the one towards the mirror). also i've watched season 1 twice in the past month and i don't think si mok himself has changed at all, in fact he is the most consistent thing of this story.

- he still smart talks his bosses (eg. completely beat down woo tae ha for covering up the director's (i think its a director?) case, remarked about how the other prosecutor got into the team using connections)
- goes a mile and a half to investigate cases, even if he has nothing to do with them (tongyeong, police suicide, park gwang su)
- still as detailed and smart as ever

i think what makes him feel different is the fact that the situation has changed. in s1, he was the focus, it was him vs the corrupt authorities. so at every turn of the story, he felt like a hero out to right the wrong in the world. whereas in s2, he's just a single prosecutor doing normal prosecutor things.

he was never one to always bow down to authority, but he was also never one to aggressively question authority for no good reason. if you rewatch s1 scenes where si mok is with kang won chul, you'll see that he acts pretty much the same way he acts with woo tae ha and the other prosecutor. since s1, whenever someone tells him he was being rude or out of line and that he should apologise, he always did immediately. the only person i can remember him being intentionally rude to was lee chang jun, and that was because he was suspicious of lee chang jun

Yo I think Woo Taeha and Choi Bit is a married couple or married once but divorce? There is a scene where Choi…
there's definitely some tension going on between them and while i would guess that they were past lovers, i doubt it ever got to marriage. they look a bit too distant for that. also i'm pretty sure it was translated that way because koreans often omit 'me' and 'you' in sentences, not because they have kids together. if that's the case, its more likely that she would have said '우리 애들'

I love that scene!!!! I want more and more of them!!!
i love how we are so in love with those two even without any romantic scenes. can you imagine the chaos if there was even an ounce of romance present?

s2 is really one hell of a slow burner, every episode just keeps getting better.

and omg to think we were just freaking out about the rooftop scene just a few weeks ago. if that scene was like a minor car accident for my heart, the staircase scene was like a truck that ran me over at 200mph. hE SMILED HWANG SI MOK SMILED!!! and han yeo jin and hwang si mok were tALKING! LIKE THE LONG TIME FRIENDS THAT THEY ARE! AND CARING FOR EACH OTHER!!! and omg when he said "you're not the kind of person to postpone things though" ahHHHHHH :((((

if seo dong jae continues to not show up, he's really gonna become a cameo character at this point

ep11 was... wow, just wow. even though if you look at it objectively, nothing much really happened in ep11, it was still intensely gripping and the 1h flew by. really proves to us once again that stranger is the master of its genre

Title Hospital Playlist Spoiler
To all the people here:I have been struggling to touch any medical drama for a quite a long time.I have heard,…
if you havent watched it, here's my two cents. i don't think i've ever touched a drama with this little negativity, and... drama. scenes that you have been trained to recognise as a subplot that will be carried on for a while does not apply here. male lead finds out he'd been cheated on? it's only given 5 min of screentime to soak in and by the next episode its mentioned casually with zero emotional baggage.

honestly, in this drama there's just no time for all the frustrating cliches you mentioned. the camera is pretty much always on the main 5, and they are just a bunch of extremely likeable characters. i'd say the only frustrating part of this drama for me (really digging the bottom of the barrel for this) are the seemingly clueless 3rd year med students. but even then, i would give a pass on that because the writer does need someone to do some exposition for the audience after all

looks like someone is intentionally sabotaging the episode scores. i checked just a few hours ago and the score of ep 9 was around 9.1 points with 3 users, now its 7.1 with 4 users. that can only mean the 4th person gave that episode a score of 1. seriously, how childish do you need to be?

Would it be accurate for me to say that this drama is made for a more mature and older audience who has experienced…
its definitely one for more mature audiences, but that's not to say younger audiences can't enjoy the show either. i'm 19 and this topped everything i'd watched before (english and korean alike). in the end, it really depends on how much you like realistic and emotionally heavy shows, young or old
(btw after i watched it for the first time, i couldn't let go of the show and kept thinking about it that i ended up rewatching it only 1.5 weeks later, and i've only ever rewatched 2 shows in my life)
