Regine thank you so much it really did help me a lot it just seems to me that most historical dramas emphasis the bad qualities of royals or nobles . Again thank you.

I have a question hopefully one of you Kdrama fans can answer. I have noticed in Korean historicals that most royalty or nobles are portrait as arongant entitled group who enslave their own race is this true Korean history or just dramatic portrayal have been trying to read books on Korean history but can't really understand all . Maybe someone in this forum can enlighten me. I do love Kdrama historicals so much that part bothers me as I think all slavery was wrong no matter what time period it occurred in.

You may, Descentants of the sun,Goblin,Queen Hyuns Man,Healer, Six Flying Dragons. My top five C drama are Nirvana of fire, Scarlet Heart 1&2, The Four both versions Heroes of Sui and Han dynasty and First Female Prime Minister.
I own over 600 dramas Kand C as well as Taiwanese bought some way before drama fever and Vikki when I had to rely on Yes Asia to get my drama fix. I am no expert but do know what I like. Enjoy watching and try all kinds they are so diverse. Thanks for your reply.

This drama deserves it for me anyway . I love Kdramas over 400 under my belt ,and this is by far one of the best and number 2 on my top 5. The writers directors as well as actors is what makes us rate this number one since you asked. Of course just mine and at least 40 others agree and I am sure most people who take the time enjoy it will also agree and of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I so agree Vikki subbers are taken advantage of and without them were would drama lovers be? Think about that people when you support sites without scrubbleswho plagerize Vikki subbers work. I reported ioffer to Vikki because they also do these things .please realize how hard subbers work and disloyalty brings no motivation we loose and I for one don't appreciate that. I watched directors cut and loved it watched original and it was slow and boring but it is hard for me to drop a drama so finished it found this and it's so sweet and to the point the flash backs help if you have not seen complete version, give it a try.

I think so because Descetants and Six flying dragons shows and actors the best. I think older sister like me don't take time to vote but we should.I so think you are right.

I know that some of you don't know the drama Queen Seondeok but it shows the Hwarang in action, it also shows them voting on issues fighting and in their traditional makeup on occasions it is quiet a good drama just long but really worth watching if your interested in Hwarang history. Just FYI

I to think affairs are not something that a drama should show as OK but we are all human and we never know we're life's path will lead us. I for one for that reason try not to be judgmental of anyone hence I tried this drama and love it. The way it is done is tastefull and no judgment needed it could happen to any of us. So prejudice aside give it a try you might like it if not that's your choice as well. Korean dramas treat this much differently from what I am used to so I keep an open mind and enjoy what comes my way.

Kate thank you I never really thought about it that way and it makes sense now because the winners are always portrayed as the righteous ones and losers as villains as you say situations could easily have turned out in reverse. It makes me look at the historicals a little different now thanks so much for the enlightenment we are never to old to learn. Thanks for sharing your perspective I appreciate it.

Thanks for the review I usually don't read long ones but yours was on the money. I also felt this thing they have with illegitimate children shouldn't they not have left that in the Joson era? I don't think any other culture is that behind the times ( maybe third world countries I don't know)
Than Asian countries I know Americans we have issues but mistresses kids I don't think is one of them. I so agree when you say the Los Angeles scenes could have been done any where but maybe they wanted to make us look bad as well. I am putting this on my favorite list . Not crazy about crime dramas but running out of things to watch and started , this came out as one of the best no BS. I liked it for realism it is so interesting watched it in a day non stop and did not regret it. Try this you will like it.

Whenever I see Kdramas where statues is so emphasized I am reminded of the same hatred or should I say dislike of people that was exhibited in the US in the south years ago. I feel that will always exist people find reasons to hate others status , race , color and numerous other things. I wondered in 2 episode what kind of person can call a 5 year old a weed and her son a flower? The world still has a long way to go in learning especially the adults who teach this to their children. Yes I know it's just a drama but I see it repeatedly in Kdramas the revenge ones,
not hating on any one culture but truly status is not all it's cracked up to be if you have no humanity. This drama was to me over the top in so many ways one I feel I wasted my few hours on.

This is 2016 and it is still not fully subbed not that I blame anyone what I have seen I hate no one has any redeeming quality . They are all mostly arrogant and self serving oh did I forget Soo entitled. I would not finish this drama if subbed such a waste of time. I hope this is just an exaggerated drama on Korean history but then again they all seem to be kinda of like that. I am grateful for dramas like Yi San and Dong Yi even though there is greed and plotting there is some redeeming quality in some characters, think I just need to stop watching Kdramas historicals to much for me. Just my opinion.

I so agree with you,but we all have different taste some people may enjoy all this madness. For me it was really hard to think kids can be so conniving at an early age kids are usually pure unless brought up really wrong. I also did not realize how being working class is so looked down on in Asian countries. I don't understand Asian parents at all and I have been told of many times for that on MDL but I still maintain children should have the right to choose and make their own mistakes when they get old enough to marry. Sorry just rambling. Terrible drama great acting.

I have to agree with majority worse drama ever. The villain started as a child really ? A little to much the writers made this child calculating from beginning so sad. One thing this was a villain I could hate all the way through and never feel anything for. First drama that ever happened I usually ind some redeeming quality in this I found none. Wasted time .

I guess I will be considered a terrible person this drama left me cold . I do not understand female forgiving all her sister horrible deeds , I know it's a drama but there is not that much kindness in the world. You serve 5 years for someone who killed your boyfriend and you can forgive that's a saint and I have not seen any. Just saying dramas should be a little more realistic
