Definitely watch it, it's a hoot. Especially if you're already used to omegaverse you'll get a kick out of it.

Why should we root for Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyou? After Hua Yong gets him he treats him like the most precious thing in the world. The soft omega persona is not entirely fake. Hua Yong really wants to treat Shaoyou like that, like the perfect wife with the cooking and choosing his clothes and looking at him with the submissive eyes that Shaoyou likes so much. It's only in the bedroom that the Enigma comes out, otherwise his personality is not that different apart from more shameless. He's always professing his love to him and to anyone who'll listen. He would do anything for SSY, in business, protecting him with his life, anything at all, he makes SSY very happy. But if at the end of the show you're still not convinced that's ok, there will be other shows.

I'm going to take your question at face value and answer, if this was meant as a simple way to vent then ignore. I assume that you are enjoying this show on some level and are trying to root for them.
In realistic terms Hua Yong is irredeemable, call the police. But reality is not why most of us are here.
For me this is 100% entertainment, not meant to reflect real life. But everyone's suspension of disbelief is different. Even I don't know why I enjoy some things and not others.
Example: I was not able to enjoy KinnPorsche as much as I could have because of all the businesslike killings they did, it was not even the other famous problematic elements in that show that made me unable to bond as much with the couples, it was the killings.
However that does not mean that I think the show shouldn't exist, or that mafia shows in general shouldn't exist, or that I think people that like them like the mafia in real life. It's just a problem of suspension of disbelief, when mine breaks I just shrug and move on.

Now for Hua Yong's good points I'm going to put in a separate comment under a spoiler tag just in case.

I read about that on Wattpad where the translation is not as good as the website and I found it hard to understand, and to be honest I didn't care about whatever drama SWL's parents have going on. The omega father seems to love SWL, but has acted incomprehensibly by pretending to be dead, and by hiding GT without having a conversation with SWL about it. And the alpha father seems to be an awful thug. I don't even know!

I like both couples too but the author focused too much on detailing the suffering of the 2nd couple and didn't give us detail on how they made up. I'm not sure up to what point you've read but it doesn't get any better, and that website doesn't have the extra chapter where they make up, I read it on Wattpad, but it's very brief and glossed over.

Lol, that's the most frustrating part. The rest of the novel that involves Hua Yong and Shaoyou are much more satisfying.

Thank you, that's what I had read. I just want to see their reconciliation from their POV, not Lele's, and way more detail. Hopefully the drama will do a good job with it.

Can you give me a link? What I read was just from Lele's POV, talking about how daddy likes to sleep at the neighbor's, Lele overhearing and sometimes repeating some their inappropriate conversation lol, but nothing in detail with SWL and GT talking and sorting out their mess. If that exists I would love to read it, please share. The site I read the novel on doesn't have those extra chapters, I found the extra Lele and Peanut POV ones on Wattpad I think.

I agree with most of that, and maybe if all else failed Hua Yong would be willing to bottom but the plan was very much:

Minor spoilers from novel!

1. Make him fall desperately in love
2. Make him "my exclusive omega" (direct quote)
3. Put baby inside him

I never believed Hua Yong when he said that, I think he said that in desperation. He wasn't willing to bottom, how is he going to pretend to be an omega. I think the strategy was always make him fall in desperate love until he will accept whatever, which is exactly what happened, but maybe a little sooner than Hua Yong was expecting.

Also I came to the drama with the expectation that he would be found out before the end no matter his intentions. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense dramatically.

Here it says 12 episodes but iQIYI and WeTV both say 10 episodes, so I don't know.

Well everyone, thoughts? I'm not mad at Tuo surprisingly, he can see Junxi is really struggling, he's being self sacrificing. And anyway they always solve their problems so fast, not much to angst over.

I know right, I just read it a few days ago and it was so unsatisfying for the 2nd couple. That's why I'm pinning all my hopes on the drama to fix it.
