In the West, the sins of the fathers belong to the whole society these days! We are all to blame for everything our ancestors did 100, 200, 500 years ago. (slavery, colonialism etc. though ONLY if perceived as right wing since the left can do no wrong!) And we are paying it by being cancelled and silenced.
