When the title mentions something, I expect to read about it in the article and not have to go clicking to another article to find the explanation! I am an idiot to expect any kind of (journalistic) integrity from the "writers" (if they can be called that!) here!

Is this a rhetorical question? I choose to believe it is because I cannot think that someone stating the obvious could have been asleep for the last ten years!
Common sense had exited the premises about 15 years ago and the door was bolted shut behind!

I read somewhere that chinese actors appearing in BLs are "quietly banned" from appearing in other dramas (but can be seen elsewhere: fashion shows, ads, music etc.) and that that is the case with two main actors here. One has just this drama in his filmography while the other one has a string of projects announced (according to his filmography on this site!).

What is really the truth? And if them getting banned is true, why would anyone accept to be in a BL?

Actually, I browsed through reviews quickly: most of these 10/10 reviews were posted by new accounts after the first episode aired! MDL will need to sort out through those......

Only 4 episodes out and already 147 reviews! This is insane! What's with this drama : is the plot that good or are the actors that hot? Or both?😅😅

Did they really have to kill him off? All the BS about female empowerment and yet she has to listen to grumpy old men who want her boyfriend dead? People say, the ending was obvious and it had to finish this way...I beg to differ: this short drama lost every credibility after two episodes - there is no way that nobody saw she was a woman! The production smartly cast a flower boy next to her to give the casting a semblance of believable but even that did not work in my eyes. He is very pretty and obviously a man (actually, he reminded me of Lee Joon Gi). She is ordinary, almost invisible and obviously a woman.
Don't misunderstand me: it is a great watch, the bad guy is so perfectly evil. But they also killed so many (mostly support) characters: too many for such a short watch!
I like these short dramas : they pack in a lot of plot and there is not time to be bored!

Its rating was 7.3 yesterday! This is going down in flames! These are awful ratings for a mainstream K drama. What happened?

I watched this over 5 years ago and I felt exactly the same as you: just could not understand the appeal!

Seven episodes in and I am bored! I usually find these Sherlock type police dramas fun and interesting but this one? mostly annoying especially when he has a "lightbulb" moment and starts scribbling all over the place. And I just keep thinking, why does he need formulas and math for something rather obvious?!?

English names? Don't start me on that! lol🤣

I remember ages ago watching a Thai (or maybe Korean?) BL taking place in a marketing agency where everyone had to have an English name and the boss explaining it was so cool and team building and some such nonsense. It just sounded pretentious and frankly, awful.

Could it be cultural? Still under the US soft power influence? Whatever the reason may be, it is just ridiculous!

So I ended up watching the first episode to see what the fuss was all about. I loved the intro song and graphics, hated everything else and dropped it after 10 min: it looked like well produced badly written fanfiction: "I Fell In Love With The CEO Who Hates Me" web comic kind of drama, rich man/poor woman set up and ....what's with giving themselves English names? Sounds like a pretentious ad agency thing...
After dropping it, I came here to read your review🥰
