So this is a Thai BL made with korean crew (actors and production) and based on a korean BL and in Korean language. Why would Thai make a BL in Korean? Koreans make BLs as well!

I agree with you about japanes BLs but korean? I could probably count on the fingers of one hand good korean BLs IMO. What are your favourites? I am curious....

I thought wetv was a chinese company? My bad! I scrolled through the end credits and all I could see were korean names with a few chinese ones. Whatever it is, this does not give Thai vibes! IMO!

I don't know why Koreans insist on making BLs if they are not willing to do it properly. Good KBLs are few and far between! I couldn't even finish the first episode of this one!

This here is a lazy translation issue!

Each language has its way to designate the same area. In French, there are two terms to describe what in english is called the Middle East: Proche orient (the western part of the middle east) and Moyen Orient (Persian gulf countries).

All this to say that I have never heard the area called West Asia in English. If we are talking about the same wars (Iran, Israel), that is. I am not aware of anything warlike going on in Kazakhstan but I do apologize if I am mistaken.

If you are a good translator, your translations should make sense in the language you translate to. You do not translate literally if you want to be understood. Just look at this article or the many MTL books (I often come upon users here complaining about MTL translated books and dramas making no sense whatsoever). Mostly confusing gibberish.

What has happened to this site? Where has the community spirit gone? MDL has become too big to stay just the user site? I have so many fond memories from not so long ago (4-5 years) when the homepage was filled articles and editorials written by users. Whatever the current slop is (casting, ratings and gossip), it would have been compiled into one monthly article which was more than enough!

I started watching this but it just makes me think of Jack O'Frost with the amnesia plot and the acting is so cringe here. I might just rewatch the japanese drama instead of suffering through this.....😅😅😅

I started reading both the book and the manhua (the art was amazing!) but then the translator put it behind friends' wall and I never got to go beyond chapter 20.
I am probably never going to read it : books are too expensive and the chances of finding this in my local (non English) library are zero.
I was looking forward to the show but it seems to be stuck in development hell...

So right.. What made this series so popular when it was first released is - one, the insane chemistry between the actors and two, the number of BLs at the time (very few!).
Word to the wise: do not watch the sequels (they are even worse than this) and try to avoid anything written by MAME (she made series out of all her books and they are just going from bad to worse!)!

There is a movie cut of this drama with another 10min added changing the ending. Everyone says the movie is better than the drama.

I hate the articles titled like this: it is not the actress making a choice, it is the character she's playing. Can you get some journalistic integrity (if such a thing still exists!) and try to be accurate in how you title your articles. Please?

Anyhow, I could not finish the first episode, the second hand embarrassment (i.e. the cringe) was too much for me to bear. These cutesy j dramas are not for me!

I had forgotten about it and came back here to see if it is worth changing my mind....I am not convinced!

I guess the responses must have been from young girls, romantic and dreaming about the perfect man. Just like the FL in this drama (or at least the first episode). They came down on me like a ton of brick for not finding this romantic! I thought that wanting more out of life and not only attracting attention of your teen crush, to be more important and would give a positive spin to the said crush. How silly of me! ;-)
You said it, it is creepy and I don't understand the appeal. But then again, I am not a teen, so....
