So some scorned woman out for revenge dragged Gulinazha into her relationship troubles with her boyfriend? You'd think she was the legal wife or something blowing up this ridiculous scandal.
In episode 2 the leads are in some border town, actually an SAR which means it's part of China, but with people that look like they are Burmese. Yet somehow there are a lot of English signs and weirdly banner signs in Dutch.
Kang Tae Oh looks so good in sageuk dramas. He was not very palatable in Tale of Nokdu but his performance was mesmerizing and his cheeky smile was killer.
Absolute shit show of a drama. I would rate the political plot of this drama as zero. I would give it a negative if I could. At episode 15, there is absolutely no development in this aspect. The useless ML has achieved a grand total of zero success in the royal court. He walks into traps and gets embroiled in the conspiracies of his opponents in the court and yet can't catch a single damn criminal.
Finally seeing this for the first time and this is complete thrash when you compare it to the brilliance of Scarlet Heart which came out around the same time. This is a mish mash of every terrible Korean court drama plot.
Let's see the checklist: 1. Weakass and useless rulers. 2. Evil, powerful and treacherous ministers. 3. Male lead with grand and ambitious plans for the country but he is a useless puppet. See number 1. 4. Cheesy romance which is even worst than tipid chemistry. 5. Romeo and Juliet plot 6. Intelligent, mysterious, courageous and grounded 2nd leads who are somehow in love with the leads(It's good except for the part where they have unrequited love for the ML and FL) 7. And so on . . .
I'm not good w/ reviews but here's my 2cents. This started off great & I think the actors did an amazing job.…
In real life that Empress eventually became regent for her stepson as well. It was obvious even in this fictionalized account nothing would happen to her. I should have realized sooner none of the real instigators and conspirators in these drama would receive due punishment.
The door is welcoming you. Your obnoxious attitude is stinking this place all over. Hopefully PXR gets considered…
I thought you'd gone now. Why are you still stinking this place up? I'm too busy just to waste time trying to understand your gibberish copy pasted from Google Translate.
The last 10 episodes were just marginally better than passing grade. Honestly it has been downhill ever since the story move to the capital. How a writer could completely go off tangent and forget the juice off the story and muddle the plot. This is a perfect example. I think the writer only has talent for romance and maybe action seeing how engaging the first episodes were. Anything else is just a parody. The political story in this drama is lazily and poorly written and frankly a hack job.
This drama just limped to the finish line. It started so well. I can't say I'm happy on how this turned out. So much promise and the main plot got sidelined to squeeze more romantic drama from the main leads. So disappointing.
Really smart female lead or just the writer being ridiculous. Seriously??? carrying all the money she earned while she's peddling illegal stuff instead of stashing it somewhere safe. Everyone knows that's how its done /s.
Yang Mi really has a teeny tiny voice. I actually thought she had a pleasing and elegant voice in Eternal Love. That was before I knew that was not her own and dubbing was pretty much standard procedure in China.
LOL. I am really speachless.Mb I am biased but I see that as envy that their own Chinese scriptwriters can't take…
This is so incredibly ignorant and false. Never mine you come off as a low info bias commentator. This is one of the first good high budget fantasy action drama from K-drama land and then suddenly you consider it better than anything China has ever produced. Yeah very objective post there.
There's obviously a strong wuxia element in this drama but I don't see how this drama is a copycat of a known wuxia work. This is only from my fairly limited knowledge of that genre. That said the Hong sisters would be lying if they say this is entirely original idea.
