I'm fine with the FL's cheekiness and playful attitude. What I don't like is the campy atmosphere and unserious attitude of the imperial court. The empress is ridiculous, the nameless concubines are just loitering around. The FL who is suppose to be a high rank consort does not act nor she feels like one. Where are the Imperial officials here? I don't recall them introducing a single one. At this point it's just ML trying to get revenge on some still unseen guy and the FL trying to escape the grasp of Prince Fu.

Sorry no, that would be a major bummer. I'm glad the ML has his jewels intact.

Isn't it amazing how FL had the guts to recommend an idiot, a totally unremarkable character and a useless accessory like Langhua as Sect Leader all because she's the current sect leader's daughter and a woman herself. A few moments later we got to see how stupid that recommendation was. It would have been fine had she suggested a semi intelligent and half competent individual.

How many Chinese actresses are even competent in modern dramas like Shen Yue? Yes she has her comfort zone as a romcom actress but it's still a much more commendable path than relying on high budget productions, a boatload of special effects and high traffic plots like xianxia dramas to garner success and accolades.

Good plot overall although the ridiculous and never ending plotting from ML stepmother and half brother was getting really tiresome.

Episode 22 will go down as one of the most stupid and pointless fillers I have ever seen in drama land. I was not expecting an engaging and meaningful love story in a wuxia drama but I expected better than the lackluster chemistry and the poorly written story development between the leads.

And when a man beats up his wife in drama or in real life you'll be the first to gnash your teeth and wale to the heavens for punishment. The comment is on point. If this is done for comedic effect or for the woman to act cute then it is a garbage reason and a lousy idea to begin with.

People who have a very superficial understanding and common taste would not like this drama.

Minister Park went from someone who opposed the current king to a parrot in the royal court. I'm not sure the writers even bothered to noticed his sudden conversion. He was clearly a convenient plot device to bring evidence of the former CP's murder.

I rolled my eyes at the pathetic attempt at illiciting sympathy on the Queen Dowager. Her end was too kind for all the evilness, rancor and grudge she caused.

The King at the minimum should abdicate and his scum of a mother be put to death. That would be justice fulfilled.

I hope the ending is not a copout and the original instigators get their due punishment.

The Crowned Clown is also called Masquerade. Someone already put it the recommendation list.

The Queen Dowager deserves to get a poison cup in the end. That's the only logical ending for this nasty woman.

I have not enjoyed a court sageuk drama since Masquerade. This one is pretty close. I did like and enjoyed Mr. Queen but that the time travel and many comedic elements made it a less authentic historical drama. That one felt like a mashup of Go Princess Go and Scarlet Heart. I think this drama did well in taming the comedy and developing an interesting conflict in the royal court.

Waiting and waiting.......

I'm gonna flip if it's PXR even though I was hoping for a more mellow and lighthearted romcom for their reunion. I've seen the lakorn and the FL in Game of Love is a real b*tch.

Did the real Mu Deok get possession of her body back? This bothered me from the start and I postponed watching the show until the show ended.
